Lighting plan for film
- 1. Lighting Plan for locations Dark Arts Productions
- 2. LED Video Lighting • LED Video light, comes with two filters to make the brightness appear softer.
- 3. Outside Broadcast (News) I used the Adobe sketch app on my phone to create the lighting plan for the outside broadcast that will be featured near to the end of the film. The outside broadcast we will be filming during the night, near a park outside, therefore we had to make sure that the camera will pick up the scenery properly. We will be using handheld lighting facing directly towards the actor. We will mainly be depending on the lighting from the streets and the LED video light. - 4. Bathroom The Bathroom will be a reoccurring location in the film, therefore we need to ensure that all bathroom scene has correct lighting . We will be using the Led video light to enhance the brightness in the room also we will be depending on the window to provide lighting, Led video light Camera Bathroom Toilet
- 5. Living Room The Living room is also a reoccurring location in our film we need to make sure that the lighting doesn't not look different, we will be suing the LED Video lighting to assist the brightness in the room we will also be depending on the window lighting, during the night we will be using the LED video light and the room lighting.
- 6. Bedroom The bedroom will be dark as she wakes up in the morning, however we will be using window lighting and we will be using the LED video light- however we will use an orange filter which ensures that the lighting isn’t too intense. We want the lighting to be soft in the bedroom.
- 7. Kitchen For the kitchen scene we will be depending on the lighting from the window and from the LED video light. We will be filming kitchen scenes in the morning and during the morning the kitchen is lit up brightly from the window.
- 8. Hallway The hallway a light bulb at the top- however it may be too dark, therefore we will be depending mainly on the LED Video light- the light from the LED video light is intense and very bright- this will be useful to use in the Hallway a the Hallway is dark.
- 9. Medical Room The Medical Room already has very bright lighting , there are no windows therefore we will be depending upon synthetic lighting–much like hospitals (which is what we are aiming for)- we want the lighting to seem synthetic as hospitals usually have this artificial lighting that gives off a gloomy tone and atmosphere. Our LED video lighting will assist as in providing extremely bright lighting.
- 10. Park During the park/ murder scene we will be depending upon natural lighting from the sun and sky. During editing we plan to put a filter over this scene to make the scene appear ominous and dark to create a gloomy atmosphere and tone. We want the filter seem as if it is a CCTV footage-making it seem as if the murderer has been caught on footage.
- 11. School Playground During the school playground scene we will be depending mainly on the natural lighting of the sun, we will also be using a filter on top of the video to show the audience that the scene is set in the past.
