Reflection On Decision Making Process
Out of the topics covered in this course, the decision making process was the most
important for me. During this lecture, I found myself agreeing with a lot of the
material covered and also learned some new things about myself. The decision
making process enables us to evaluate a situation, process the information given,
and determine a course of action to take. Whether if it s in the workplace, school,
or in our personal life, we will face all kinds of choices each day. Every decision we
make will have an effect on the outcome of our future. In my own personal life, I
go through simple decisions like determining what to wear, which route to take to
school, and what to eat that day. Most of my daily decisions are made
instantaneously but in some cases, like group projects, I have to put more effort
into my thinking process. In class, I learned that from a managerial point of view,
they make more important decisions such as hiring or firing someone, deciding
who will be in charge of a project, and deciding if they should launch a new product
line. In general, having good decision making skills is a benefit because then
others will also have trust in our abilities. When we make decisions, it is common
for us to make our judgements based on information that is more available in our
memory. This is called availability bias and it is something that I always fall victim

Symptoms And Treatment Of Psoriasis
Etiology
Psoriasis is a common (2% to 3% of the population), benign and life long chronic
inflammatory skin condition involving the skin, scalp, nails and sometimes joints
(Mahajan Handa, 2013). It is genetically transmitted with a 30% increased risk of
first degree relatives developing psoriasis and a 72% concordance between
monozygotic twins (Habif, 2010; Mahajan Handa, 2013). A genetic and hereditary
(autosomal dominant with 60% penetration) basis for psoriasis is supported by the
presence of certain major histocompatibility complex antigens, HLAs A1, B13,
B17, B37, DR7, in certain psoriasis patients (Mahajan Handa, 2013). Genetically, two
forms of psoriasis [Type I and II] have been proposed: HLA Cw6, the strongest of the
histocompatibility complexes, is found in approximately 85% of Type I (hereditary,
age onset of 16 to 22 years, follows an irregular course before generalizing) and in

the two events are closely entwined. Many Irish people initially struggled to

Simulations in Matlab. Temperatures, alloy concentrations and interaction parameters
are variables being varied in this simulation. Increases in temperature led to an
increase in entropy as well as a decrease in relative correlation of orders. The entropy
and enthalpy of mixing both were affected by the alloy concentration, with a

would they like to have. This test was done once a year for two years in order to

cheeseburger, because that was not what I wanted and that she should of order
what I wanted. When my mother gave me my food I took it and throw the burger
down on the floorboard of the car and told her to order me what I wanted and that
she could eat this cheeseburger because I was not eating it. My mother told me to
pick up the burger and that I was going to eat it and that if I did not stop acting the
way I was then I was going to get a spanking.

In western cultures ethnocentrism is a very prevalent facet. Ethnocentrism,
essentially, is the tendency to use the cultural norms of one s own society as a
method of comparison for foreign cultures. This ethnocentrism has been projected on
many groups, and arguably is a result of a sense of superiority felt by those in

lived among them. Montaigne describes the man as simple and crude (Montaigne
1653). In essence, Montaigne feeds the biases of Europeans, as he regards the man

or unintelligent. However, Montaigne believes these traits to be superior; he
expresses that those who are clever contribute their own interpretations to situations.

As we move further and further into a more technological age, lines begin to blur
between where tech savvyness ends and where being a Geek begins. I have been
working with computers since I was 8 years old. I remember the good old days
where I would sit there with my dad watching him play Zork for hours on end. In
fact that game is one of the reasons I started writing. This was in the mid to late 80
s and the machines had no hard drives and ran completely off of 5 1/4 inch floppy
disk s. This was all fun and games, but I didn t learn much from the experience. I
did however learn to maneuver through the DOS operating system as well as how
to execute programs. My real experience didn t start till around June of 1992. I live
in the San Bernardino California area. If you know any history of the area, in June
1992 there was a massive 7.3 earthquake that shook San Bernardino quite harshly.

Analysis
One of the many things we live by, freedom, is the most important factor of our
lives. Freedom also plays an important role in the novel The Witch of Blackbird
Pond by Elizabeth George Speare. In this novel, a young girl from Barbados
named Katherine Tyler (shortened name Kit) moves to a small town in
Connecticut, New England, because of the tragic death of her grandfather, and the
fact that she has a pursuer that is twice her age. The only problem is, her aunt and
uncle have no idea she is coming, so Kit surprises them upon her arrival. Kit is
surprised about how much work she has to do, since she was so content on Barbados.
Kit meets the witch Hannah Tupper and is later accused of carrying on Hannah s
forthbringing of witchcraftafter she mysteriously disappears. Kit is sentenced to
trial, and although she had absolutely no chance of being anything other than
guilty, Kit came out innocent. Throughout the exposition of the novel, there are
many ways in which freedom is involved. On pages 8 and 9, Kit jumps into the
