This document contains several chest x-ray images showing examples of pneumothorax. Pneumothorax is a condition where air enters the space between the lungs and chest wall, causing the lung to collapse. The images demonstrate features of pneumothorax including a visible pleural line separating the lung from the chest wall, transradiancy of the affected lung, and differences in lung positioning between upright and supine views. Expiratory images better show the size of pneumothoraces compared to inspiratory images. Rib fractures are present in some cases. All images are from the website Radiopaedia.org and are cited accordingly.
