Governance in the Modern Workplace: SharePoint, OneDrive, Groups, Teams, Flow...Toni Frankola
The number of services end-users have under their fingertips in Office 365 has been dramatically growing, and there are just a minimum number of hurdles stopping end-users to go completely wild with all these options.
This means the amount of digital data that is being stored in Office 365 and company processes that touch Office 365, has been ever-increasing and organizations and IT professionals are struggling to keep up to govern the data.
In this session, we are going to dig deep in order to discuss best practices for governing such a system, what are some of the typical use cases and scenarios and typical pitfalls with governance. We are going to review what kind of reports and tools are available at our disposal as part of the built-in Office 365 offering, and when to use the programmable approach to automate governance.

Effective User Life Cycle Management in Active DirectoryZoho Corporation
Universally, user management is one of the frequently-performed tasks in Active Directory. And the challenges involved in it are quite common throughout the globe too notwithstanding the tools that Microsoft provides us, such as, PowerShell. Obviously, there is a huge rift between what Microsoft's user management tools (like ADUC) do and what administrators expect out of them. In this commercial whitepaper, Derek Melber (Active Directory MVP), talks about this gap and also points out how ManageEngine tools address the challenges involved in Active Directory user life cycle management.

In tube drawing process, a tube is pulled out through a die and a plug to reduce its diameter and thickness as per the requirement. Dimensional accuracy of cold drawn tubes plays a vital role in the further quality of end products and controlling rejection in manufacturing processes of these end products. Springback phenomenon is the elastic strain recovery after removal of forming loads, causes geometrical inaccuracies in drawn tubes. Further, this leads to difficulty in achieving close dimensional tolerances. In the present work springback of EN 8 D tube material is studied for various cold drawing parameters. The process parameters in this work include die semi-angle, land width and drawing speed. The experimentation is done using Taguchi’s L36 orthogonal array, and then optimization is done in data analysis software Minitab 17. The results of ANOVA shows that 15 degrees die semi-angle,5 mm land width and 6 m/min drawing speed yields least springback. Furthermore, optimization algorithms named Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Simulated Annealing (SA) and Genetic Algorithm (GA) are applied which shows that 15 degrees die semi-angle, 10 mm land width and 8 m/min drawing speed results in minimal springback with almost 10.5 % improvement. Finally, the results of experimentation are validated with Finite Element Analysis technique using ANSYS.

We introduce the Gaussian process (GP) modeling module developed within the UQLab software framework. The novel design of the GP-module aims at providing seamless integration of GP modeling into any uncertainty quantification workflow, as well as a standalone surrogate modeling tool. We first briefly present the key mathematical tools on the basis of GP modeling (a.k.a. Kriging), as well as the associated theoretical and computational framework. We then provide an extensive overview of the available features of the software and demonstrate its flexibility and user-friendliness. Finally, we showcase the usage and the performance of the software on several applications borrowed from different fields of engineering. These include a basic surrogate of a well-known analytical benchmark function; a hierarchical Kriging example applied to wind turbine aero-servo-elastic simulations and a more complex geotechnical example that requires a non-stationary, user-defined correlation function. The GP-module, like the rest of the scientific code that is shipped with UQLab, is open source (BSD license).
"Feed Water Heaters in Thermal Power Plants: Types, Working, and Efficiency G...Infopitaara
A feed water heater is a device used in power plants to preheat water before it enters the boiler. It plays a critical role in improving the overall efficiency of the power generation process, especially in thermal power plants.
🔧 Function of a Feed Water Heater:
It uses steam extracted from the turbine to preheat the feed water.
This reduces the fuel required to convert water into steam in the boiler.
It supports Regenerative Rankine Cycle, increasing plant efficiency.
🔍 Types of Feed Water Heaters:
Open Feed Water Heater (Direct Contact)
Steam and water come into direct contact.
Mixing occurs, and heat is transferred directly.
Common in low-pressure stages.
Closed Feed Water Heater (Surface Type)
Steam and water are separated by tubes.
Heat is transferred through tube walls.
Common in high-pressure systems.
⚙️ Advantages:
Improves thermal efficiency.
Reduces fuel consumption.
Lowers thermal stress on boiler components.
Minimizes corrosion by removing dissolved gases.

3. Intro & Brief details about M365 Admin
Center
The Microsoft Office 365 Admin Center is the web-based portal administrators use to
manage user accounts and configuration settings for the Office 365 subscription
services, including Exchange Online and SharePoint Online.
Administrators access the Microsoft Office 365 Admin Center through a web browser
with their administrative credentials.
The Microsoft Office 365 Admin Center portal supports management tasks for users,
groups, resources, billing, support, settings, reports and health.
Each management section appears in the portal's left menu. An administrator can
choose to present more commonly used areas as a series of tiles within the homepage
of the Microsoft Office 365 Admin Center. Administrators can select, arrange and
modify these tiles to suit their preference.
5. The Left Navigation Pane
The left navigation pane that contains subsections:

Under Users section There is Active users.
You can see a detailed list (table) of all users and their license status.
You can also add a user, create user templates, add multiple users, and enable or
disable multi-factor authentication.
You can manage Office 365 users (add, edit, delete, export users), reset
passwords, assign or remove user licenses, and use filters to select the needed
users (which is useful if you have a large number of Office 365 users for your
domain).
Contacts and Guest users. These options are used to create mail contacts of
external users.
Deleted users. You can see a list of deleted users and restore the listed users if
needed.
7. Groups
Use these options to manage Office 365 groups, security groups, distribution lists
and shared mailboxes in your organization. When you manage Office 365 users, it is
useful to sort them into groups and manage groups instead of managing each user
separately.
Roles
The Microsoft 365 admin center allows the global Office 365 admin at your
organization to assign different admin roles for other users (administrators).
Resources
The resources options allow you to create and manage resources, such as sites and
conference rooms for conference purposes. You can see your SharePoint sites and
site collections that are created in SharePoint for users’ collaboration and their
external sharing status.
Billing
You can view your subscription status, purchase additional Microsoft cloud services,
check billing and payments, configure payment methods, and so on.
8. Support
Create a new support request to Microsoft if needed and view recent service requests
and their status in this section. Microsoft provides Office 365 admin support.
