ABS identified the unique requirement at Sparsh to make patient dialysis parameters remotely accessible to the nephrologists over the Web, which is key to its success and efficiency.

This module tracks patient’s health and doctor information by centre with dialysis parameters such as clearance number, toxin level, average weight gain, blood pressure, hemoglobin, urea, Creatinine levels etc. Doctors in metros can log in, see the reports of their respective patients, and intervene if they observe anything out of order. The information from Dynamics AX is sent to SQL Server Analysis Services cubes. Users view the reports using Microsoft Office Excel to connect to a cube through a data connection. Reports are generated to study the dialysis parameters of every patient and monthly reports are used to analyze and maintain the efficiency of centre and quality control.

When we talk about Software + Services to the customers – it is essential to provide solution that is hastle-free, easy to use, reliable and provides next level security for the protection of data. However the world is changing and a constant technological evolution is happening. This is the evolution that has happened so far, so it is really a matter as a company to think about what can use from this new wave of innovations coming take upon advantage of the Cloud. The evolution of Dynamics ERP systems from the decade of 70 where the mainframe architecture was used which shifted to the client-server based ERP. The revolution shift came over with the deployment of web-based ERP systems in the 90s decade which observed a transitional shift tosards development of service oriented architecture. The deployment of Cloud-based Dynamics ERP systems created the new age revolution which provide the ease of access form multiple location and provide real-time monitoring
- #7: So if take a closer look at the changing business environment we can see that there are several drivers. The business environment changes taking place are driven mainly by competitive dynamics in the business world including globalization and cheap technology, cheap processors, cheap storage, cheap bandwidth, migration from single core to multi-core to many core, makes processing speed more and more readily available at a cheaper, cheaper cost. Storage continues to double in capacity for a given price point, and that will continue. But that’s not it, that’s not the only thing; just throwing cheap hardware at a problem is just one of the three vectors that we’re going to talk about here. And of course with the internet, we are able to get access to all these resources and stitch all this stuff together at very low cost or in some cases absolutely free. And Web 2.0 with its demand for a more interactive, user driven experience with more room for individual choices and unique needs. Customers expect flexibility to connect anytime, anywhere, and on different devices. Another big vector is Customer Choice providing an agile response to competitive pressures and allowing customers to architect their business in ways that best address changing and emerging market opportunities as well as control costs. Finally, the cost of acquisition for a solution to an immediate business need is much lower in a web services model. The nature of web service distribution allows for easy deployment of a solution. For example, a solution can be purchased and up and running within a matter of hours! The last really big element of three big innovation vectors is Software as a Service. We really look at software as a service as service delivery. It’s a way of delivering software; it speaks to where the software and physical hardware is located. And in the case of software as a service it’s simply software running on a server, located remotely, accessed over the internet. And so we don’t look at software as a service necessarily as the high order bit for this service transformation, we look at it as simply a way of delivering software. Today, there are three software delivery models available to choose from: On-Premise, Partner Hosted, and Microsoft Hosted. We believe choice is not a zero-sum game and the real outcome is that customers will select a ‘hybrid’ model, or blend of software and services, that best scale to their specific business needs. A hybrid model allows you our partners to combine the best of the software and services world in new and compelling ways to provide maximum value to customers!
