- 1. Mergui Archipelago The Mergui Archipelago covers an enormous area that features more than 800 islands spread out in the Andaman Sea off the coast between Mergui and Kawthaung. Many islands are still off-limit to visitors and some are home to the Moken, or Sea Gypsies.
- 2. Ngapali Beach The most famous beach in Myanmar, Ngapali’s idyllic palm-lined beach is perfectly complemented by the clear blue waters of the Bay of Bengal. As modern resorts and hotels continue to pop up in response to increasing tourist traffic, its fishing-village roots are still preserved through the small fishing boats that can be seen on the horizon, and ox-drawn carts ambling along the beach.
- 3. Ngwe Saung Ngwe Saung is a newer and lesser known beach compared to more famous ones like Chaungtha Beach. Also called Silver Beach for its 15 km stretch of fine, silvery-white sand, Ngwe Saung is the perfect destination for those looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday amidst the best of Nature - a beautiful and unpolluted sea, set against a backdrop of tropical rain forests and the towering Rakhine mountain range.
- 4. Chaung Tha Chaung Tha Beach is a popular tourist spot for both locals and foreign visitors who come to relax in sparkling waters amidst picturesque surroundings. For the more adventurous, Pho Kalar Island and The’ Phyu Island are worth exploring, as well as the tidal mangrove forests nearby.
