This document provides a summary of multidimensional poverty in Nepal based on an analysis by the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative. It finds that 44.2% of Nepalis are multidimensionally poor, with an average intensity of deprivation of 49%. This translates to a multidimensional poverty index score of 0.217. Chart A compares these results to monetary poverty rates using different poverty lines, while Chart B compares Nepal's multidimensional poverty rate to other countries.
