Purpose • Capital Assessments & Stress Testing XML Conversion (CastXC) Utility is an enterprise desktop application developed on Java Technologies. • This converts a given excel spreadsheet in a specific format in to an XML that the Federal Reserve accepts for regulatory compliance. Federal Reserve accepts many regulatory reports of which Annual Summary Schedule (Schedule A) is one. • The current scope of the work involves generating an XML file that is in compliance with the XML Stylesheet (xsd) that the Federal Reserve has provided. How it works? • The tool has been created to have specific guidelines built in set by Federal requirements • The Tool can take up to as many excel work sheets as you would like and has a data integrity check built into the program • Example: The conversion too found 23 rows under heading CASMN248 where the XML output was 255 characters.The data dictionary appears to specify that the output should be 250 characters –An error would be visible for user to check and correct data error which allows to 100% accuracy. • The data dictionary given will drive the data integrity check, built into the program, it can be data validation points to a specific type character(s) allowed, number of characters, unit, etc. All rights reserved by Nitai Partners Inc.
