This document provides instructions for making no-sew star flowers using fabric, vliesofix (iron-on adhesive), a rotary cutter, hole punch, and split pins. The instructions involve ironing vliesofix to the fabric, cutting eight 1cm strips, punching holes in the strips and connecting them with split pins to form petals. The petals are eased out to form the flower shape and glue is added to the center to hold it together. The finished flowers can be used to decorate Christmas trees or as gift embellishments.

- 2. Supplies: fabric of choice,vliesofix, rotary cutter, cutting mat, ruler, iron, hole punch, pliers & 2 split pins for each flower.
- 3. Begin by ironing yourvliesofixonto the wrong side of your fabric.
- 4. Now peel the backing paper off thevliesofix& press your contrast fabric onto thevliesofix.
- 5. Now trim your fabric so that it’s about 12 cm long…you can change this up a bit to create flowers of different sizes but I think that 12cm gives a nice size.
- 6. Cut eight 1cm strips from your fabric.
- 7. Line up your eight strips & punch a hole through all eight strips at one end.
- 8. Insert a split pin through the eight strips & then repeat for the other end of the strips.
- 9. Use your pliers to trim the spilt pin so that the ends are not visible in the finished flower. Open up the back of the pin to secure.
- 10. Ease out the strips to make the flower.
- 11. Once you are happy with the position of the petals add a dob of glue to the centre of the flower.
- 12. Just squeeze the centre of the flower for a few seconds until the glue has time to grab. You might like to weight the centre of the flower for an hour or so or use a peg just to be on the safe side.
