Enterprise-class mobile apps: Moving your business into the future - Amy Ande...Fresche Solutions
Mobile applications are becoming increasingly important for businesses as more processes move digital. Developing secure and efficient enterprise mobile apps requires experience with mobile-first strategies, open source tools, and API management. Zend Server can help businesses create mobile apps for their existing IBM i systems using open source PHP, helping ensure the same level of security as current systems while improving developer productivity. Case studies demonstrate how Zend Server has helped businesses modernize their applications and processes to engage customers in new ways through mobile.

Enterprise iPad Development Without Notesjaxarcsig
This document discusses options for developing enterprise iPad applications, including native iOS apps and HTML5 apps. Native iOS apps require Apple hardware, Xcode, and an iOS developer program membership. They allow more local storage and features like notifications and in-app purchases. HTML5 apps can reuse existing web code and resources, support offline use, and be deployed more easily across platforms. The document provides resources for developing both types of applications.
The document introduces the Zend Framework, which is a modular PHP library that aims to simplify common tasks. It provides best practices for PHP 5 development and serves as a starting point for applications. The framework uses a Model-View-Controller pattern and includes features like input filtering, email sending, searching, and more. It has a goal of being industry-leading, high-quality, and modular while also having an extremely simple interface.

The OSS platform on which IntelliJ IDEA is based is used by a number of commercial as well as free IDEs, supporting a large number of programming languages and frameworks. And certainly Google's move to use it for their Android Studio increased its usage noticeably.
So what kind of possibilities does it offer for plugin developers? What are the differences compared to Eclipse or NetBeans? What kind of extensions can be developed, is there tooling support and documentation available to guide me?
After discussing these basic questions, we'll take a look at concrete samples: supporting new programming languages, frameworks, small utilities for daily routine tasks and much more. Maybe by now you already have an idea for your first plugin?
And of course, IntelliJ Platform is open source itself, so we'll take a look how you can contribute to it. Or maybe you even want to start working on your own standalone IDE?
You'll have the chance to take away a number of "Lessons Learned" as well as Best Practices from my own 10+ years of experience developing plugins for IntelliJ IDEA.

Ibis: operating the Python data ecosystem at Hadoop scale by Wes McKinneyHakka Labs
Wes McKinney gave a presentation on scaling Python analytics on Hadoop and Impala. He discussed how Python has become popular for data science but does not currently scale to large datasets. The Ibis project aims to address this by providing a composable Python API that removes the need for hand-coding SQL and allows analysts to interact with distributed SQL engines like Impala from Python. Ibis expressions are compiled to optimized SQL queries for efficient execution on large datasets.

Getting Ready to Use Redis with Apache Spark with Tague GriffithDatabricks
This technical tutorial is designed to address integrating Redis with an Apache Spark deployment to increase the performance of serving complex decision models. The session starts with a quick introduction to Redis and the capabilities Redis provides. It will cover the basic data types provided by Redis and the module system. Using an ad serving use case, Griffith will look at how Redis can improve the performance and reduce the cost of using complex ML-models in production.
You will be guided through the key steps of setting up and integrating Redis with Spark, including how to train a model using Spark and then load and serve it using Redis, as well as how to work with the Spark Redis module. The capabilities of the Redis Machine Learning Module (redis-ml) will also be discussed, focusing primarily on decision trees and regression (linear and logistic) with code examples to demonstrate how to use these features.
By the end of the session, you should feel confident building a prototype/proof-of-concept application using Redis and Spark. You’ll understand how Redis complements Spark, and how to use Redis to serve complex, ML-models with high performance.
Learn about upcoming product features from Ping Identity product management, view demonstrations of new functionality direct from the engineering team, and participate in a lively discussion about the latest technology advancements and their business applications.

HCL Nomad Web – Best Practices und Verwaltung von Multiuser-Umgebungenpanagenda
Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/hcl-nomad-web-best-practices-und-verwaltung-von-multiuser-umgebungen/
