This document defines key concepts related to postmodernism, including bricolage, pastiche, causality, meta-narratives, simulacra and simulation, demonstration, hierarchies of taste, self-consciousness, modernism, hall of mirrors/paradoxical, and the zenith of cultural production. Bricolage refers to combining existing materials for new purposes. Pastiche imitates previous works but in a positive way. Causality describes interconnected stories that influence each other. Meta-narratives provide overarching explanations for society. Simulacra and simulation discuss reality being replaced by symbols and signs.
