Fellowship Accreditation Application:worked with AAN staff/team member to create a new web application for a
sub-organization within AAN: United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS). The application allowscolleges
and universities who host fellowship programs to become accredited or maintain accreditation.Implemented two
application types:Program Information Form (PIF) and Re-accreditation Information Form (RIF).
Also worked on some other, miscellaneous tasks for AAN on a variety of different web and reporting applications.

Worked with CCStpa staff/team members to implement enhancements to all three sites.
 Client Center updates: updates to existingClientCenter site to convert itto MVC 4.0. Wrote several SQL
Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports allowingusers to run as needed. Added claimsearch and review
features, as well as purchaseorder creation,search and review. Created new styles and features to
supporttribal groups.Added features to track what each group (client) would allowfor emailing
Explanation of Benefits (EOB) alerts & created supportingSSIS packages to transfer both group and
individual member settings.

 Member Center updates: various updates to siteto includenew forms and information.Updates to allow
users to change their own EOB settings. Series of updates to improve sitesecurity.

LKQ Point of Sale System | September 2012 – February 2013
 Self Serve Point of Sale System: projectwas a re-write of a VB.NET point of salesysteminto C# (.NET 4.0)
and usingWPF and MEF as the IoC container.Projectalso involved accessinga SQLServer databaseboth
remotely and locally on a Windows embedded system (similarto XP). Databaseaccess was accomplished

usingEntity Framework 4 (model first).Moq and NUnit were used for constructingunittests. My work on
system mostly focused on returns screens as well as some sales completion screens,i.e. check/cash/credit
card processing.Also worked on background process to check access to network & enable/disable
features based on access.Source code and Agile management through TFS installed on client’s site.

StayWell Health Management (Various Projects) | November 2006 - February 2012
 Incentives Release 3 – fall 2010/winter 2012: replacement of existingsystem with a new one. Involved
writingcompletely new code in .NET 4.0, creation of new Oracleschema, useof DevArt/Entity Framework
for access as well as newsetup/deployment techniques and TFS 2010. My work mostly focused on bac k-
end DB design/deployment, middle-tier business logic,and technical direction sinceI was the only person
familiarwith existingproduct.Some limited work with MVC 3.0 and JQuery.
 Incentives Release 2 – spring/summer 2010: enhancements to existingsystemto supportfamily banks.
Conversion from .NET 2.0 and VS 2005 to .NET 3.5 and VS 2008 as well as restructuringwithin a new TFS
library.
 Incentives Release 1 – winter/spring 2010: updated to show interim(registered/participating) status on
various event types to participantscheckingincentives online.Projectinvolved updates to API as well as
Demographic sync process.
 Client Monthly Report (CMR) Release 1 - 2009: development an automated version of report to replace
manually created one. Involved creation of warehouse tables, ETL processes,stored procedures, and
test/Excel export process.

 Task Request Handler version 1 – fall 2008: a Windows servicecapableof runningany properly
formatted command. Fetches new commands to run through the databaseand then uses reflection on an
assembly and class(usinga predefined interface) to run said command with parameters also provided by
the database.
 eMessaging version 1 – spring/summer 2008: created a new system to send messages to participants
viewableonlinethrough secured login.System required routing eMessages through a series of approvals.
Also allowed for an accompanying“alert” email could be sent through a supportingemail tool called
Exact Target.
 Incentives Appeals and Error Fixes – 2007: created appeals feature so participantscould appeal
incentives they missed (via help desk call).Also included tool for approval/denial by Clientresources team
members as well as a bulk appeal feature. Additional work on Incentives involvinga number of fixes and
enhancements.
 Custom Exports – Winter 2006-2007: My initial work with SWHM in this engagement involved the writing
of a number of custom exports for clients usingthe tool I had written previously in the fall of 2002.

Dakota County – Public Safety IT Needs Assessment | October 2006
 Worked on a projectto firstgather current IT usage(hardware, software, communications,staffing) for all
11 cities and county office for all of Dakota County and then analyzethese needs and produce a final
recommendation for Dakota County in regards to services that could be combined. Projectinvolved
developing a detailed inventory template, meeting with IT staff,PD, FD, and EMS involved,collatingdata
in a SQL Server 2005 databaseand analyzing this data.

Minnesota Department of Commerce – eFiling Project | May 2006 – October 2006
 One of the Commerce department’s functions is to acceptand manage documents filed on utilities cases
that are subsequently ruled on by the Public Utilities Commission.Previously all filings weresubmitted in
paper form, scanned into TIFF images, and stored in a FileNet (Panagon) repository.
 The goal of the eFiling projectwas to shiftthe medium of documents from paper to electronic.The
project involved creatinga dynamic Java-based web sitethat allowed registered users to upload PDF/XLS
documents which the application would later importinto FileNet (now P8). The eFilingapplication also
supported searchingof filed documents by exposingsome of FileNet’s capabilities aswell as somelimited
workflow.

St. Cloud State University (SCSU) – College of Education Project | April 2006

 Worked with two team members from St. Cloud State University (SCSU) on a project to create a web site
for the College of Education.The proposed web site worked on was to allowstudents to track the
necessary coursework and other tasks required for obtaininga teachinglicenseafter graduation.Assisted
and mentored SCSU team members on tiered programmingconcepts, changes in .NET 2.0, and design of
the supportingdatabase.Also assisted in definingand limitinginitial scopeof the project.

Titaniun 2.0 Conversion | March 2006
 Worked on a projectto convert the Titaniun application framework from .NET 1.1 to .NET 2.0. Project
involved migration of existingframework into a separatecode-base, buildingand testingversions 1.1 then
converting code usingMicrosoft’s tools from1.1 to 2.0. Further conversion work involved updatingweb-
serviceprojects to use .NET Development Server as opposed to IIS.

AgriBank, FCB – Customer Inquiry / Maintenance Application | January 2004 – March 2006
 .NET Application Framework - worked on a .NET application framework to be used to host enterprise
level applicationsused by many associations of AgriBank.This framework was the precursor to what
eventually became Titaniun.Work on the framework involved server sidecomponents such as stored
procedure wrappers, assemblers,and web services (façades) as well as clientsidecomponents including
Windows forms, client-sidefaçades,and controllers.WhileI worked with pretty much all parts of the
framework, my focus was on cached lists.These involved sendingcommonly used lists,such as state
names or loan codes down to the clientsidewhere they are cached and later bound to controls in
Windows forms.
 Data Synchronization Monitor - Worked on a tool used to keep three different data stores in synch.The
data kept in sync included MicrosoftCRM2.1 databases,SQL Server databases used in conjunction with
in-houseapplication (SingleView),and BMIS/VSAM files (through DB2 stored procedures). The tool used
COM+ components and publisher/recipientstructures (or pollingwith BMIS) to send and receive updates
to and from each system. Work involved upgrades and fixes to existingcode, writing/testing build scripts
and procedures, as well as installing/testing/ supportingin variousenvironments.

 Created a .NET based export utility to export survey outcomes for clientuse. The export tool connected to

delimited. The export tool utilizes XML configuration files to specify export configuration.The core
business logicbuiltinto a C# assembly,which,in turn, is called froma C# windows programcapableof
runningin batch or windowed mode.

MN Department of Education - Document Workflow/Archival | March 2001 – September 2003
 Worked on a projectto create a document workflow trackingand archival applicationsfor statepersonnel
licensing.Projectincluded two applications,oneto handlethe initial scanningof paper applications into
the system, and another to track the progress of applicationsas they are processed.Later the project was
expanded to includefeatures to track licenserenewal.
 Customer serviceto teachers and administrators was improved substantially by reducingprocessingtime.
The system replaced microfichewith magnetic optical storageand saved the department $100,000
annually.

Lifetouch National School Studios - Photo ID Upgrade Project | July 2000 – March 2001
 Worked on a team that upgraded software used by schools and businesses to create photo IDs. Worked
on analyzingand testingbatch badge printingwith ten different types of printers.
 At littleor no extra costto the schools,theapplication helped improved school security. For Lifetouch,
the sales department used the application to win accounts from competitors. Payback on the projectwas
achieved within a few months of each release.

Transcape (A Pitney Bowes Company) - Multiple Carrier Shipping Application | January 2000 – July 2000
 Technical programmer workingon multipleprojects related to a software application thathandled
multiple-carrier shipping.Focused on components that allowed the user to handleelectronic shipment
manifesting.
 Allowed Transcape,a software manufacturer, to integrate its shippingsoftwarewith UPS and FEDEX. This
provided customers with up-to-date shippinginformation fromUPS and FEDEX. Transcapewas ableto
upgrade from DOS software to Windows based software, which i ncreased sales revenue.

Cool School - School Lunch Menu Design Tool Project | February 2000 – July 2000
 Technical programmer on a project to create a web-based school lunch menu design application.Product
allowed users to create, manage, and view school lunch menus for multipleschools within districts.
 School districts wereableto create school lunch menus on-linerather than the traditional cutand paste
method. School districts receivepoints toward cafeteria merchandisewhen they purchasefood from
Cool School. Cool School was ableto build loyalty and feature products from various food manufactures,
such as the milk consortium.

 Project and technical lead on a project to create an offlineunit installation trackingapplication.This

installations,and other data offlineand then would allowfor ad-hoc integration with main officeserver
over the network.
 The application was designed to decrease the expense of installingmonitors in locations acrossthe
country. The application insured thateach step is complete prior to startingthe next step. This allows
NGN employees to work together in a more productive way; they are assured that their co-workers have
completed prerequisitesteps.

departments. Projectwas for DHC as well as its subsidiary divisions/retailersatthe time: Target and
Mervyn’s.
 The toolset allowed for increases theprofitability of the business by providingmoretimely and complete
information. It allowed staff to spend less time collectingdata and more time analyzinginformation to
make better decisions.

 Technical programmer on a project to create a web-based ballotingtool for a major corporateballoting
company. Application was designed to be generic and open-ended for use with many different balloting
implementations.

 Tool allowed customers to take surveys on-lineat a low cost. This helped organizations thatwanted to
take a more informal survey but includelots of participants. The company was ableto offer a new
product that was electronic based rather than paper based.
