1) The study evaluated the efficacy and safety of a new traction device called the S-O clip for assisting endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) of large superficial colorectal tumors.
2) 27 patients underwent ESD with assistance from the S-O clip, while 23 patients underwent conventional ESD without the clip.
3) ESD with the S-O clip took less time on average (37.4 minutes vs 67.1 minutes for conventional ESD) and achieved en bloc resection in all cases without complications, demonstrating it is a safe and efficient method for resecting large superficial colorectal tumors.
