Methods This study looks at the effect personality has on teacher leadership. In this study, the
independent variable is based off of the Big Five Inventory (BFI), and is a person s T score in
each of the Big Five personality traits. The dependent variable would be the scores in each of the
seven domains on the Teacher Leadership Inventory (TLI). An Analysis of Variability (ANOVA)
will be used to determine if there is a relationship between personality and teacher leadership.
In previous research by Aydin, Balvi, and Alci (2013), it was shown that neuroticismhas negative
effects on all teaching competencies examined, and extroversion is significantly and positively
correlated to teaching competency, so this study will look at the effects of extroversion and
neuroticism on teacher leadership. In this study, it is predicted that there will be a relationship
between personality and leadership, and while Extroversion will have a positive correlation with the
seven teacher leadership domains, neuroticism will have a negative correlation with the seven
teacher leadership domains.

My Experience At A Children s Camp
The past few days of observation are based upon my final week as a coordinator for a children s
camp. Including my interactions with people as our programs are winding down and the
unexpected realities of what was going on outside of the camp. In this week I experienced; upward
social comparison, availability heuristic, mortality salience and social cognition.
Upward social comparison I participated in a panel discussing the benefits of advanced
placement classes. In my discussion of my personal experiences, I talked about comparing
myself to my more intelligent classmates. In high school I felt like I was not as mart as my
classmates. I discussed how it made me work harder, I wanted to be at what I perceived was a
higher level. The example in the book mentioned studies of people using upward social
comparison to motivate themselves to success (pg. 86). As mentioned by the text upwards
social comparison can be a positive tool for motivation. The textbook also spoke about the
dangers of comparing yourself with others if a person does not believe they can reach what they
are aspiring to be. I recognize what the danger in upward social comparison could be, it would be
hard to process failure if you lived your entire life comparing yourself to others. I do not know if I
thought I could reach what I was comparing myself to, but I believe I benefited from the push.
Eventually, I no longer relied the comparison.

Harry Potter. Harry and Arthur have shared similarities since the beginning of their lives, they
were both orphaned and raised by relative, and they both grew up unaware of their great destiny.
Arthur was the only one who could pull the sword Excalibur out of the stone, or from a hand
coming out of the lake which proves he is the true king. Just like only a true Gryffindor could pull
the sword of Godric Gryffindor out of the sorting hat and find it in the lake. Harry s mentor
throughout the entire series is Dumbledore who taught transfiguration and King Arthurs mentor was
Merlin, an old man with a long white beard who was also a shapeshifter. Harry was given an
invisibility cloak by Dumbledore and Arthur had a cloak that made whoever wore it invisible.
Ron had a chess set that Harry and him played with where the pieces moved by themselves and
at the end of Sorcerer s Stone they encountered a life size version. Arthur also had a chess board
where the pieces could move all by themselves. The Mirror of King Rhyence was Merlin s mirror
where the person looking at the mirror will see whatever they wish. Harry stumbled upon the mirror
of erised which showed you what you want most in the world. Harry and King Arthur both have
enemies named Lucius as well. Throughout all the similarities between the two characters makes

The Constitution Act of 1982, or more commonly known as, The Charter of Rights and Freedoms,
constitutionally entrenched fundamental civil liberties, which have protected Canadians from both
federal and provincial legislative imposition. Since the Charter s inception, however, Canada s
judiciary has been placed under great criticism and scrutiny due to the fact that the courts were
believed to have been given legislative powers that rivaled both the federal and provincial
legislatures. Through Judicial Review, the Supreme Court of Canada was given the task to interpret
the charter since that wording of the legal document itself was vague enough to warrant
interpretation, and hence, gave critics a reason to believe that supreme court justices have been the
power to legislate without any political or public recourse. Unfortunately, as a result of these
criticisms, various public notions, such as appointed and not duly elected Supreme Court justices
with the ability to legislate, became the main focus in questioning whether the supreme court s
institutional functions were legitimate, and in tandem with the principles of a free and democratic
society.
Given, the misconceptions regarding the Canadian judiciary by both critics and the public alike, the
purpose of this research is to investigate the functions, and criticisms surrounding the Canadian
judiciary. The result of this investigation will provide a clear and informative argument that, Canada
s judiciary did not seize
