Robot Framework association was formed in 2015 as a non-profit consortium by the original creators of Robot Framework and several other companies to foster continued development and growth of the Robot Framework. The association aims to ensure ongoing development, provide case references and knowledge sharing around Robot Framework which was first created in 2005 at Nokia Networks and open sourced in 2006.
