Salesforce Social studio February 2016 Release NotesRobin Leonard
Some VERY exciting updates here for Salesforce Social Studio in their latest release.
I'm particularly excited about:
New sentiment algorithm that learns based on user feedback! (huge change)
Can listen and engage with Instagram Hashtags
FB boosting and ad budget approval from within Social Studio
Analyze is becoming more like Radian6 - you can drill down etc
Social Customer Care integration is getting smoother
Social Studio allows marketing teams to collaborate on social media campaigns, listen to conversations on social networks, and plan, publish and analyze content. It provides tools to organize teams and accounts, monitor discussions, create a content calendar, respond to customers and measure performance. The platform aims to streamline social media processes and bring clients closer to their social audiences.

Social Media for B2B - How Salesforce.com Does Social #et10Marcus Nelson
Here\'s how Salesforce does Social Media, including strategy, staffing, training & measuring our company\'s social engagement.
Presentation made at ExactTarget\'s Connections 2010 Conferenceon September 15, 2010.
The document discusses integrating Radian6, a social media monitoring tool, with Salesforce to enable social customer engagement. It outlines how social media has changed customer interactions from one-to-many and untargeted to engaging, transparent and targeted. It then describes how the Social Hub product can automatically listen to social conversations at scale, route relevant conversations to the Service Cloud, and populate customer profiles to bridge the "social divide" between a company's social presence and traditional customer management.
The document provides an overview of Salesforce's platform and how it enables companies to become customer-centric. It highlights key capabilities including connecting customers in new ways, running a business from mobile, building personalized journeys, and gaining insights from customer data. Case studies show how companies have driven improvements in metrics like revenue, customer satisfaction, and productivity by connecting employees, partners, and customers on the Salesforce platform.
This document discusses social customer service and provides an overview of a presentation on the topic. It begins by noting how social media has changed customer service expectations, with customers now expecting rapid responses. It then discusses how social customer service can help companies engage with more customers more effectively and efficiently while driving loyalty. The presentation provides examples of how KLM implemented social customer service using Salesforce solutions like Service Cloud and Social Studio. It discusses the benefits KLM achieved, such as reducing response times and improving global collaboration. Finally, it addresses common questions around social customer service strategy, operations, reporting, and opportunities for partners to provide additional services to support implementation.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 xRM4Legal xRM4Accounting Technical OverviewDavid Blumentals
Data has become the new currency, and firms create and have access to more of it, and faster than ever before. The challenge is how to transform it into intelligence that generates action and drive outcomes. Dynamics 365 allows firms to adopt individual business apps such as Marketing, BD, Client Care and Operations, but as firms adopt more of the apps, synergies will be unleashed in the form of ‘Intelligent Business Processes’. This will help proactively guide employees & clients to generate optimal outcomes.
As an example – you can adopt Project Service Automation. Project teams can use it as standalone app in close alignment with Office 365, but when combined with Operations, the time and expense reports that project members submit, will automatically go to accounts, HR and Payroll systems, and Project Accounts will be automatically updated for Finance in the Operations App.
It sounds basic… but the fact is that the classic delineation between CRM and ERP has created a separation in data and processes. Dynamics 365 breaks down this separation, and our business platform strategy together with CIT and IOT is centered on enabling this to new levels.

Submissions have grown significantly each year, and data downloads for reuse are also increasing. The goal is to make data sharing easier for researchers.
Hummingbird unleashed. Understanding the new Google Search AlgorithmGianluca Fiorelli
Hummingbird Unleashed discusses Google's Hummingbird update and how it has changed search. It suggests a new approach to SEO that focuses on identifying related entities for a topic, matching them to audience interests, and creating content around those entities. This new approach could help businesses like a small pizza chain in NYC optimize their SEO under Hummingbird by focusing content on relevant entities like types of pizza crust instead of specific keywords.

TrustArc Webinar: Consumer Expectations vs Corporate Realities on Data Broker...TrustArc
Most consumers believe they’re making informed decisions about their personal data—adjusting privacy settings, blocking trackers, and opting out where they can. However, our new research reveals that while awareness is high, taking meaningful action is still lacking. On the corporate side, many organizations report strong policies for managing third-party data and consumer consent yet fall short when it comes to consistency, accountability and transparency.
This session will explore the research findings from TrustArc’s Privacy Pulse Survey, examining consumer attitudes toward personal data collection and practical suggestions for corporate practices around purchasing third-party data.
Attendees will learn:
- Consumer awareness around data brokers and what consumers are doing to limit data collection
- How businesses assess third-party vendors and their consent management operations
- Where business preparedness needs improvement
- What these trends mean for the future of privacy governance and public trust
This discussion is essential for privacy, risk, and compliance professionals who want to ground their strategies in current data and prepare for what’s next in the privacy landscape.

AI Changes Everything – Talk at Cardiff Metropolitan University, 29th April 2...Alan Dix

Is AI just another technology, or does it fundamentally change the way we live and think?
Every technology has a direct impact with micro-ethical consequences, some good, some bad. However more profound are the ways in which some technologies reshape the very fabric of society with macro-ethical impacts. The invention of the stirrup revolutionised mounted combat, but as a side effect gave rise to the feudal system, which still shapes politics today. The internal combustion engine offers personal freedom and creates pollution, but has also transformed the nature of urban planning and international trade. When we look at AI the micro-ethical issues, such as bias, are most obvious, but the macro-ethical challenges may be greater.
At a micro-ethical level AI has the potential to deepen social, ethnic and gender bias, issues I have warned about since the early 1990s! It is also being used increasingly on the battlefield. However, it also offers amazing opportunities in health and educations, as the recent Nobel prizes for the developers of AlphaFold illustrate. More radically, the need to encode ethics acts as a mirror to surface essential ethical problems and conflicts.
At the macro-ethical level, by the early 2000s digital technology had already begun to undermine sovereignty (e.g. gambling), market economics (through network effects and emergent monopolies), and the very meaning of money. Modern AI is the child of big data, big computation and ultimately big business, intensifying the inherent tendency of digital technology to concentrate power. AI is already unravelling the fundamentals of the social, political and economic world around us, but this is a world that needs radical reimagining to overcome the global environmental and human challenges that confront us. Our challenge is whether to let the threads fall as they may, or to use them to weave a better future.

DevOpsDays Atlanta 2025 - Building 10x Development Organizations.pptxJustin Reock
Building 10x Organizations with Modern Productivity Metrics
10x developers may be a myth, but 10x organizations are very real, as proven by the influential study performed in the 1980s, ‘The Coding War Games.’
Right now, here in early 2025, we seem to be experiencing YAPP (Yet Another Productivity Philosophy), and that philosophy is converging on developer experience. It seems that with every new method we invent for the delivery of products, whether physical or virtual, we reinvent productivity philosophies to go alongside them.
But which of these approaches actually work? DORA? SPACE? DevEx? What should we invest in and create urgency behind today, so that we don’t find ourselves having the same discussion again in a decade?
This is the keynote of the Into the Box conference, highlighting the release of the BoxLang JVM language, its key enhancements, and its vision for the future.
