        keyword. Google has advanced since then
        however some SEO companies still charge
                 for only doing this service.

Google have advanced and now use a number of algorithms to decide how they rank
your site, these include :

   How long your site has been running
   How often your site is updated
   How many relevant keywords are used throughout your site
   How the keywords are tagged (hidden in the code) as headers, links, paragraphs etc
   How many relevant incoming links to your website
   How many relevant outgoing links from your website
   Location : Search results near your location
   Social networking links (now less important)
   How well coding is written, adhering to current web standards
   Numerous other technical factors. E.g XML sitemaps

 You can also get banners / links on content related websites

How it works

   You Pay a set amount per click per keyword
   The price per click is dependant on the popularity of the keyword & competitors
   You set a capped limit you want to spend per day, week, month
   Each click ads up to your own set capped limit
   When the capped limit is hit you no longer appear top

          i.e 20p per click , with a capped limit of £5 per day will get you 25
          clicks until your top spot disappears

 This can be set up yourself for free (besides your PPC spend to Google)
 A lot of people set this up wrong and then falsely believe it doesn’t work
 In order to work this requires research, manual keyword setting, Title checking and
  cost setting per keyword

 Be careful they are not taking a cut of your spend to Google – a set fee for the
