National Stakeholders Coordination Group Meeting
June 18, 2919
SET-Plan, National and Regional Initiatives on
Energy Communities, PV Community
Self Consumption, Flexible and Energy Positive Districts
on 18 June 2019, 9:00-13:00, Scotland House, Rond-Point Schuman 6,
1040 Brussels, Belgium Brussels (Metro Station Schuman).
Registration: https://forms.gle/vr462xsvTf6riqKv7
The National Stakeholder Coordination Group (NSCG) of the ETIP Smart Networks for the Energy
Transition is a sounding board and exchange platform for national R&I stakeholders in the area of
smart energy systems and networks, enabling them to contribute actively to the European SET-Plan
Action 4 and the implementation of its Implementation Plan. The NSCG addresses national R&I policy
makers, R&I funding program managers, key research institutes (typically members of EERA), R&I
platforms (“Technology Platforms” or similar – typically consisting of grid operators, technology
providers, R&D-institutes) and experts from regulators.
In former meetings, we exchanged about the innovation landscape in European countries as well as
on the EU SET-Plan level, discussed the governance and cooperation between different groups within
SET-Plan Action 4 and beyond and initiated collaborative work on actual topics like regulatory
sandboxes.
In the light of the latest EU directives, questions of developing energy communities, community self-
consumption and energy positive districts have gained interest and dynamic. The upcoming meeting
of the NSCG will bring together the following SET-Plan Initiatives in order to provide networking
opportunities and support creating synergies with national and regional stakeholders and projects:
 Stakeholder Initiative on PV Community Self Consumption (Supported by SET-Plan Action 4
Member States Working Group, ETIP PV, Solar ERA-Net, JPP ERA-Net Smart Energy Systems)
 Task Force on Energy Communities (Supported by BRIDGE, SET-Plan Action 4 Member States
Working Group, JPP ERA-Net Smart Energy Systems)
 Initiative on Flexible or Energy Positive Districts (Supported by SET-Plan Action 3.2 Member States
Working Group, JPI Urban Europe)
The meeting addresses particularly national and regional initiatives, demo projects, living labs, etc.
in these fields as well as members of the above listed SET-Plan initiatives.

In order to enable and speed up collaboration, a first collection of initiatives in a case book has been
started. Initiatives that are interested to be taken up in the case book, to be presented at the
meeting, please contact hemma.bieser@avantsmart.at. Contributions to this case book can be made
by filling the template that can be downloaded from EXPERA under the following link in the folder
“Use Cases PV Self Consumption”. Filled templates can be uploaded to the same folder and will be
considered to be included in the case book.
