Roughly 65% of attendees at a law meet up were solo practitioners or small firm lawyers with fewer than 10 attorneys. Of these solo and small firm lawyers, 78% actively search for new clients but 85% spend less than 10 hours per week doing so. Similarly, of those searching for new clients online, 69% spend fewer than 5 hours per week on online client searches. The top reasons lawyers gave for not searching for clients online included lack of trust in online methods, the work involved, lack of technical skills, and not enough potential clients online.
