Intern, Disability Resource Program, January 2016 to present
Internship supports the development and implementation of programs designed to improve the quality of life and social interaction of disabled
residents within the community.
 Assist with the management of seasonal recreation programs such as swimming, bowling and sled hockey. Specific responsibilities include:
communicating with players and caregivers about upcoming events, handling program inquiries and complaints, socializing recreation dates
and times, collect and record payment and permission waivers.
 Record survey results and analyze data on ongoing basis.
 Organize inventory and equipment room, and record and report on inventory levels.
 Assist with coordinating upcoming events and programs, such as managing the booth at fundraising events; preparing for recreation
tournaments; event set up; and management of promotional events to gain awareness of Disability Resource Programs.
 Update and edit brochure templates for upcoming programs.
 Promote disability programs on the organization’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/CHDDR/)
Volunteer, Disability Resource Program. September 2015 – January 2016
Part-time volunteer for the sled hockey program. Responsibilities included:
 Provided safe and fun environment for all sled hockey players.
 Assisted players with rules and operation of game.
 Coordinated and interacted with players and coaches.
