Digital Transformation And Solution ArchitectureAlan McSweeney
Digital strategy is a statement about the organisation’s digital positioning, competitors and customer and collaborator needs and behaviour to achieve a direction for innovation, communication, transaction and promotion. Digital strategy needs to be defined in the same framework structure as the proposed digital architecture platform.
Achieving the target digital organisation means deploying solutions that enable the digital architecture. Solution architecture needs to design solutions that fit into the target digital architecture framework. This requires:
• Solution architecture team operating in an integrated manner designing solutions to a set of common standards and that run on the platform
• Solution architecture team leadership ensuring solutions conform to the common standards
• Solution architecture technical leadership to develop and maintain common solution design standards
• Solution architecture updates the digital reference architecture based on solution design experience
Digital solution design requires greater discipline to create an integrated set solutions that operate within the rigour of the digital architecture framework. The solution architecture function must interact with other IT architecture disciplines to ensure the set of solutions that implement the digital framework operate together. This requires greater solution architecture team leadership. This needs to be supplemented and supported by a well-defined set of digital solution design standards.

Appliance Warehouse Service Plan. The discussion focuses on the.docxfestockton
Appliance Warehouse Service Plan.
The discussion focuses on the appliance Warehouse Service Plan that is made up of the testing plan, an implementation plan and the training plan for the sake of the bettering of services in a warehouse. The testing plan is meant to manage the systems through QA standards meeting the needs of the customers. The implementation plan elaborates and indicates whether one should use parallel, direct, phased, or pilot changeover strategies. The training plan, on the other hand, indicates what a training plan would include for affected employees, such as appointment setters, technicians, management, and the parts department.
Testing Plan
The main reason for the testing plan is to validate and verify the information from the main source or the end to end target warehouse. The two major testing plans for include program testing and acceptance testing (Lewis, 2017). The plan should verify the following, the business required documents, ETL design for the documents, sources to target on the mapping process and the data model for the source and the target schemas. The documents that are considered are meant for the ETL development process in the testing plan. The testing plan is meant further for the supervisors or the quality analysis team to confirm that the work is concerning the objective of the organization. The process of testing might also include the configuration management system and the data quality validation and verification process.
Implementation Plan
The plan for the implementation of the systems is the same as the process that is considered during the development process of the entire system to meet the goals of the organization. The steps to consider for the whole plan of the implementation include the analysis and the enhancement requests, the writing of very simplified and new programs, restructuring of the database, analysis of the program library and its cost, and the reengineering of the test program. The first phase parallels the analysis phase as the parallel strategy is considered for the entire process, which entails the analysis phase of the SDLC. The steps two to four process entails the combining and the construction activities that are done on a new system majorly on a small scale. The last step is meant to parallel the testing that is commonly done during the implementation process. The testing process ensures that the process is free of risk as a quality assurance process (Liang & Hui, 2016).
Training Plan
The training plan should be made up of a training matrix in which it will guide them to know who needs the training what they need from the training and why they want the training not forgetting when they need the training(Kwak,2016). The matrix will allow for the planning and the preparation for the training avoiding scrambling when the due date for the training comes around. Development of information system chap 2amanuelayde1
The document discusses the systems development life cycle (SDLC) process that organizations use to develop and maintain information systems. It describes the key phases of SDLC including planning, analysis, design, implementation, and support. During planning, potential projects are identified, classified, and selected. Projects then go through further analysis, design of technical solutions, development, testing, and implementation before moving to ongoing support. The document also covers different approaches to systems analysis and design such as process-oriented, data-oriented, and object-oriented.
The document contains questions related to concepts of planning and control for information systems. It includes questions about total quality management, levels of management, importance of planning for information systems, organizational planning, business models, information technology architecture, system analysis and design, MIS development procedures, quality in information systems, acquisition of hardware/software, computer peripherals, software types, structured/unstructured decisions, information system audits, the planning process, computational support for planning, importance of control, feedback, factors for IS organization, Nolan's stage models of IS growth, and content of an IS master plan.

The document summarizes the Packaging Repository application, which centrally manages packaging for automotive components at RENAULT. It is currently developed in Java-J2EE but the goal is to migrate it to Salesforce's cloud platform. The summary discusses:
1) The application allows for creating and managing packaging codes, characteristics, and documents from 5 origins. It has different user roles for administration, validation, coordination, and viewing.
2) Packaging goes through statuses of draft, under study, and validated as part of its lifecycle managed by administrators and validators.
3) The application architecture follows Apex design patterns like separation of concerns (SOC) with domain, service, and controller layers to
The document discusses analyzing systems using data flow diagrams (DFDs). It explains that DFDs are a key method for analyzing data-oriented systems by graphically representing how data moves through an organization. The data flow approach has advantages over narrative explanations, including freedom from early technical commitments and better communication with users. Physical DFDs show how a system will be implemented and include details like manual vs automated processes. Structured analysis techniques are used to model system processes and document data flows and stores.

Innovation occurs and is supported within an ecosystem of interdependent mechanisms, components, and values. When misaligned, the innovation ecosystem can become unstable. This is particularly evident when the competencies and components of an innovation stack is developed, implemented, and evaluated in isolation.
Assessing whether an organization is ready involves evaluating the interactions between all related components. This involves the synergistic dependencies among the following tools, processes, assets, and competencies. The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) lifecycle highlights the competencies, services, and functions needed to plan, dessign, transition, operate, and continuously improve project, product, and service delivery with an emphasis on the end user.

SharePoint Site IA Architecture Design Considerations - Innovate Vancouver.pdfInnovate Vancouver
This document discusses different options for structuring an intranet site. It begins by explaining the goals of intranet design including easy navigation, searchability, and content management. It then presents 4 options for structuring the site:
1) By strategic pillars with departments organized underneath each pillar.
2) By organizational structure with departments as top-level sections.
3) A hybrid model with pillars as top headers and departments structured underneath.
4) Allowing different views like pillars or the organizational chart as headers.
It evaluates each option based on navigation, content management, adherence to policies, and supporting engagement. The best structure would logically organize content, be intuitive to navigate, and easily manage content

2. System Integration
System integration is defined in engineering as the process of
bringing together the component sub-systems into one system (an
aggregation of subsystems cooperating so that the system is able to
deliver the overarching functionality) and ensuring that the
subsystems function together as a system,[1] and in information
technology[2] as the process of linking together different computing
systems and software applications physically or functionally,[3] to act
as a coordinated whole.

9. TYPES OF DATA
INTEGRATION
Data Lake
Data Hub
Data Virtualization/ Federation
Data Warehouse
Operational Data Store
The following models for data integration are evaluated and
selected based on the type and location of data prioritized for
migration and/or integration:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
10. Types of Migration
Rehosting Workloads
Replatforming Workloads
Adopting SaaS, IaaS, etc.
Refactoring Workloads
Retiring Workloads
Infrastructure design also includes consideration of where the
applications and data will be stored, if migration is required, risks, and
cost-benefit analysis of existing options.
Migration takes into consideration whether an existing application
should be retained or replaced with a new option, with possibly more
features. It also takes into consideration subscription fees, export
pathways, conversion risks and compatibility, data storage, and
retrieval costs, and maintenance requirements.
Migration to the cloud includes the following approaches:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
11. DATA MIGRATION PROCESS
Step 1 — refine the scope
Step 2 — assess source and target
systems.
Step 3 — set data standards.
Step 4 — estimate budget and set
realistic timelines
PLANNING
Unlike migration dealing with the company’s internal information,
integration is about combining data from multiple sources outside and
inside the company into a single view. It is an essential element of the data
management strategy that enables connectivity between systems and
gives access to the content across a wide array of subjects. Consolidated
datasets are a prerequisite for accurate analysis, extracting business
insights, and reporting.
Data migration is a one-way journey that ends once all the information is
transported to a target location. Integration, by contrast, can be a
continuous process, that involves streaming real-time data and sharing
information across systems.
planning,
data auditing and profiling,
data backup,
migration design,

testing, and
post-migration audit
DATA MIGRATION PROCESS
12. MIGRATION PLANNING
Application Inventory:
1. Identify All Applications
2. Determine the Application Owners
3. Document Application Versions, Requirements, and Dependencies
4. Establish whether or not an Application is Still Used
Prioritization:
1. Figure Out which Applications Should be Migrated First: Necessity,
Benefit, Ease of Migration
Plan:
1. Migrate in Batches or Individually
2. Which Migration Method will be Used
3. What Order of Steps Need to be Performed
4. What Tools are Required in Order to Complete the Migration Process
5. Do you have the Required Cloud Subscription Information Needed
6. Time Frame of the Migration: Critical Path & Dependencies (Testing,
Pilot, Availability, etc.)
7. Contingency Plan for the Migration (risk mitigation)

Maintaining the data involves a lot of work. Ignoring this component of
data migration and integration will result in duplication, faulty reporting,
low-quality analytics, and can impact product design and development,
inventory management, customer relationship management, and
more.......
This is why data governance is so important. The following sections
depict common data governance models and the planning process.
15. Designing for the
Business Model
Information Technology Architecture needs to be designed to fit the
needs and requirements of the business, customers, and external
stakeholders. It needs to drive scalable, efficient, and effective
insights, processes, and systems. It needs to provide a return on
investment, particularly because it involves so much effort to
design, install, implement, and maintain.
Many frameworks are available to further help design a model that
systems the business ecosystem. Take a look at the Business
Model Canvas, Enterprise Architecture Development Model, or the
Information Technology Infrastructure Library to support service
management, asset management, and integration of business
systems.
