The paper reviews the state-of-the-art in adaptive security challenges within Dynamic Software Product Lines (DSPLs), emphasizing the need for adaptive security mechanisms that can dynamically adjust to changing environments. It identifies gaps in current research, particularly a lack of methods and metrics for evaluating security adaptation approaches, which is critical given the increasing vulnerability of DSPLs. The study outlines a systematic literature review method to assess existing approaches and suggests promising areas for future research in self-adaptive security.
