 STEM related occupations between 2008 and 2018 are
 projected to grow by 17 percent compared to just 9.8
 percent growth for non-STEM occupations.

 STEM occupations command higher wages, earning
 26 percent more than non-STEM counterparts.

 STEM degree holders enjoy higher earnings, regardless of
 whether they work in STEM or non-STEM occupations.

Alarming Finding: There is an actual collapse of
the labor market for 16-24 year olds (due to slow/no

can’t afford to leave the workforce and the lack of
concrete career or trades pathways that connect
educational choices to employment opportunities.

STEM Enhances all Future Opportunities:
The US Dept of Commerce (BLS) reports
unemployment in the tech sector at only 3.8% --
with 7-13% job growth for engineers.        (US
unemployment is still above 9%).
