• Climate is also the only factor we cannot change
  • religion: we have a choice
  • environment: can be changed (sustainability)

  way people greet and talk to each other.

  • meeting friends on street = brief interaction
  • a broad American smile at -20° in Helsinki makes your front teeth

  • this culture of outdoor succinctness carries over to indoor habits.
