The ministry team includes an administrative assistant, Contemporary Worship Coordinator, Assistant Minister of Instrumental Music, church accompanist, and church organist. My primary responsibilities include directing the Sanctuary Choir of 50 members; planning congregational worship for the 8:30am Contemplative and Classic worship experiences. Associate Conductor, One Voice Chorus, Richmond, Virginia 2011-2014 One Voice is a community choral group of 150 singers. The mission of the chorus is to promote cultural and ethic diversity through music. I was responsible for helping to select the repertoire for each season's concerts for the full chorus and ensemble. Pastor for Worship, Ridge Baptist Church, Richmond, Virginia 2007-2010 Grew participation by 66% in all areas of ministry in under three years for a congregation of 250. Coordinated weekly and special worship experiences for the congregation and community. Developed an annual budget for music, worship, and Senior Adult ministries and managed resources of $20,000 dollars. Developed and managed a yearly budget of $15,000 dollars. Director of Choral Music, Discovery United Methodist Church, Richmond, Virginia 2003-2005 Directed and grew the adult choir ministry by over 80% in two years, and assisted in worship leadership for a diverse and unique congregation. Professional Affiliations Member of the 2015 Conference Design Team and Morning Prayer Co-coordinator, The Hymn Society in the United States and Canada (New Orleans, July 2015) Member of The Hymn Society in the United States and Canada 2010-present Member of the Century Men 2009-present The Century Men is an auditioned choral group, consisting of Ministers of Music, Professors, and Directors with Baptist Affiliation. Each year, the group performs concert tours around the United States and overseas every five years. Resource and Standards Chairperson for Music and Worship 2009-2012 Virginia American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Member of the Virginia Baptist Male Chorale 1999-2010 The chorale is a touring group of Ministers of Music from the State of Virginia. The group performs two mini- tours; one in the spring and one in the fall. Youth Choir Jam Festival, Event Chairperson 2009-2012 Youth Choir Jam is a festival hosted every year by Ministers/Directors of Music in the Richmond VA area to provide a festival choral experience for area youth choirs.
