- 10. 18.12.2009 Page 10 Student initiatives: 3 examples The International Students‘ Committee (ISC) organizes the annual ISC-Symposium at the University of St.Gallen with leaders from Europe, America and Asia from the worlds of business, finance, politics and science, and a cross-section of students from leading universities and business schools around the world. Joint project of the student body, the canton of St.Gallen, AIESEC and the HSG. Twelve students from Eastern Europe are awarded scholarships that enable them to obtain an economic education in Switzerland. Oikos is a student initiative in the area of sustainable development. The students organize an annual international conference on sustainable development as well as the annual "Model WTO" where students simulate actual discussions at the WTO.
