After successful installation of .NET Framework start installing VMukti server setup again by double clicking on setup .exe. Now if your pc does not have SQL Server 2005 installed, the installation would ask you to install SQL Server 2005. This password will be used for login authentication when you try to login to your system’s SQL server, that is you will have to provide this password as SQL Server authentication while login into Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. Click “Next” to proceed.

STEP – 38 Copyright © 2007-2008 VMukti Solutions Pvt. Ltd. You will get the following window, this window shows that the SQL server management studio is trying to connect to a SQL server. For Server type field: Select “Database Engine” For Server name field: Write the SQL server IP (SQL server IP is IP of the PC where the SQL server is installed/running which you trying to connect like 192.168.191.2) + “\” + SQLEXPRESS For example “192.168.191.2\SQLEXPRESS”. The Server name may be only IP address of the SQL server (Like “192.168.191.2” in case of enterprise version of SQL Server 2005), but this user guide directed to install Express version of Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

For Authentication field: Select SQL Server Authentication For Login field: Write “sa” as per SQL server installation steps followed previously. For Password field: Write the password you entered in the Mixed Mode step while installing the SQL Server. Following slide shows the SQL window , SQL gets configured

STEP – 39 Copyright © 2007-2008 VMukti Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Now again double click on VMukti server setup .exe file. Now if your system does not have IIS server installed, it would ask you to install IIS server 4.0 or higher IIS installation steps (STEP 40 to 46):-

For first/top field (SQL InstanceName): Write Server name, which is used while connecting to SQL server trough Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and login into that; use that Server name in first/top field, as for example “192.168.191.2\SQLExpress”, 192.168.191.2 is the IP address of the SQL Server. The Instance name may be only IP address of the SQL server (Like “192.168.191.2” in case of enterprise version of SQL Server 2005), but this user guide directed to install Express version of Microsoft SQL Server 2005. IP address of SLQ server is the IP of the system where SQL server is installed/running.

For middle field (SQL Authentication User Name): Write the user name “sa”, which is used while connecting to SQL server trough Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and login into that; use that User Name in middle field. For last/bottom field (SQL Authentication Password): This is the corresponding password to the user name discussed in above section. Click “ N ext” to proceed.

In the following screen For SMTP server Name field: Write “smtp.gmail.com” For SMTP Port Number field: Write “587” For SMTP UserName field: Write an existing gmail account For SMTP password field: Write correct password of the gmail account provided in the above field. Then click “Next” to proceed.

STEP – 54 Copyright © 2007-2008 VMukti Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Your will get window of IIS Manager like following image: click on + sign given in front of ADIANCE1 (local computer name) and navigate till “Default Web Site”. And follow to next steps.

STEP – 57 Copyright © 2007-2008 VMukti Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Go to “Web Site” section in the following screen. Select “(All Unassigned)” option from IP address Make sure “80” is written in TCP port field Write “443” in SSL port field. Now follow next steps.

If server PC is on a live IP, then clients can access the VMukti through this server from anywhere across the globe. And if server PC belongs to a LAN, then clients can access the VMukti through this server under the LAN only. Do not browse VMukti URL on server PC Browse VMukti from other PCs (clients) with URL: http://<ServerIP>/vmukti> where ServerIP is the IP address of the system where VMukti server is installed. Start participating in collaborative conference. STEP – 65

And for adding buddies in VMukti collaborative conferencing installed now on the server-user’s server, send the URL( http://<ServerIP>/vmukti> ) to clients. For clients, download and install VMukti client, no need to follow the usage scenarios and just browse the URL found from server-user.
