Analysis Of Matthew 22 s The Kingdom Of Heaven
Why do you suppose Jesus mentions what this man was wearing? Listen to me, everything that Jesus
says and does in the New Testament is very important! Whatever the garment is that this man has on is
a social faux pas to the celebration that he has been invited to. The rest of the parable is pretty
straightforward as Jesus describes the kingdom of heaven, the kingdom of heaven is like... Remember
at the beginning of the parable, we are told that the first group that was invited to the wedding, refused
to attend. When the King heard about it, he was furious, and he sent out his armies, destroyed those
murderers, and burned up their city, Matthew 22:7 8 NKJV. The King then declared an open invitation
to everyone to attend the marriage of his son.
The parable in Matthew 22 is a profound teaching. It shows that the invitation to salvation is the same
as receiving an invitation to the wedding of the Messiah. That is why the garment that the one man
had on was such an irritation to the King. It was not so much what the man was wearing per se. It was
a heart issue! The apostle John tells us the significance of wedding garments in Revelation 19. And I
heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of
mighty thunderings saying: Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice
and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. And
to her it was granted to be

Tuberculosis Is A Disease Caused By Mycobacterium...
Introduction
When looking to educate myself on the most commonly seen health conditions in hospitals, I turned to
Mrs. Tonya Simpson RN, a registered nurse at St. Joseph hospital in New Jersey. Mrs. Simpson
informed me that Tuberculosis is a disease that she sees profusely at St. Joseph hospital. During the
interview I gained great insight on why she chose this particular disease, the etiology, the frequency,
prevalence, pathophysiology, signs/symptoms, treatments, and the prognosis of Tuberculosis.
Etiology
During the interview with healthcare provider Mrs. Tonya Simpson, she when in great detail
explaining that Tuberculosis is a bacterial disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This is a
disease that affects the lungs and can be transmitted from person to person by coughing, face to face
conversing, sneezing, and even breathing the same air of an infected person can spread the disease. A
profuse amount of people have TB, but the bacteria is not active, which prevents them from being
contagious (T. Simpson, personal communication, March 25, 2015). It is only when the disease is
presented to be active that it can be transmitted. Seniors and children have a greater risk to be infected
with Tuberculosis due to their weak immune systems.
Incidence and Prevalence In 2013 Tuberculosis had a total of 9,588 new tuberculosis (TB) cases
reported in the United States, with an incidence rate of 3.0 cases per 100,000 population, a decrease of
4.2% from 2012 (Negar Niki Alami,

It is the year 2027, President Kanye West has been assassinated by the box aliens. His Vice President

Mountaintop Removal Case Study
Introduction
Today, the extraction of natural resources takes on many different forms. Mountaintop removal (MTR)
is one approach applied in the Appalachian region of the United States for the extraction of the
resource coal. MTR approaches the coal from the top of the mountain by blasting away the layers of
rock above the coal seams and scraping away the layers of coal. This process leaves behind effects to
the surrounding environment including flooding, contamination to water and air, health impacts, and
ecological impacts. In response to these effects the community members most affected have taken it
upon themselves to raise their voices in protest. This form of environmental justice challenges the
existing legal permits and policies by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The suit against the coal company became known as Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition v. Aracoma
Coal Company. This lawsuit involved four permits issued by the United States Army Corps of
Engineers, allowing for certain mountaintop mining processes at four mining sites in West Virginia.
OVEC alleged that the Corps violated the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) by failing to
adequately assess the environmental impact of the valley fills, by improperly limiting the scope of the
environmental assessment, and by ignoring evidence regarding the cumulative effects of valley fills on
the environment (Clark, 2008, p. 146). Much to the surprise of these coalition groups on March 2007,
the district court found in favor of OVEC and held that the Corps failed to comply with the CWA and
NEPA when it issued the four permits. The court further noted that a CWA Section 404 permit may not
be issued if the Corps fails to comply with its own guidelines and with NEPA when making a finding
of no significant impact. The court remanded the permits to the Corps for further consideration in light
of its findings. The court also rescinded the four permits, enjoining the Corps and Intervenors from
taking any action under the challenged permits. On appeal, the Fourth Circuit reversed the district
court s order and held that the Corps did not violate the CWA or NEPA in

Education And Study At Universities
There are many reasons why people decide to continue their education and study at Universities. It
may be for enjoyment, for learning a new skill, for networking, or for career advancement, etc.
However, for most people, education is an investment for the future, and is considered as a gateway to
obtaining higher earnings in the future either via the job market or self employment. It s commonly
believed that the higher the qualification you get, the higher the chance you would get a well paid job.
However, what about for entrepreneurs? People who don t want to work in a steady paid job, but who
wants to be their own boss. Do entrepreneurs need to study for a University degree? Would, in the
course of studying a degree, increase the chance of becoming a successful entrepreneur? Does higher
education teach the necessary skills to help people be successful in running a business? Thus, lead to
my research topic. I would like to investigate whether successful entrepreneurs obtained their
necessary skills whilst studying at University.
To begin with, how do we define a successful entrepreneur ? The Cambridge Dictionary defines
successful as achieving the results wanted or hope for/ having achieved a lot, become popular, and/ or
made a lot of money [Cambridge Dictionaries Online, 2014], and the definition of an entrepreneur is
someone who starts their own business, especially when this involves seeing a new opportunity
[Cambridge Dictionaries Online, 2014].

Review Of The Elder Scrolls
Another Bethesda game and yes, it is great! Okay, I will elaborate my opinion; Bethesda makes lots of
great role playing (RPG) games with open world environments. Although, I never could understand
why Bethesda likes to kick off their amazing voice actors off the face of the Earth. I m pretty sure if
Bethesda was able to cast Mel Blanc and James Earl Jones as voice actors they would probably be
either Gordon Freeman or Link. In The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, they kill off Patrick Stewart in
addition to that we get ten minutes of Liam Neeson in Fallout 3. This game has a gripping and
expansive showcase of how much depth and great excitement can be packed into one videogame. It
does justice to the rest of the Fallout franchise, including ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Like Red Dead Redemption, I would recommend the Game of the Year Edition since you get the most
of the game. Along with that similarity, Fallout also has a slow motion mechanic called the Vault Tec
Assisted Targeting or V.A.T.S. system, where you are able to pick what part of the target s body like
head, body, limbs or weapons to shoot off. The gameplay is solid and the story is decent, it is best to
ignore most of the story because of it being a pretty bland story telling, but I would recommend
reading the story and the newspaper through the land to give the game character.
NITPICK CENTER: Straight off the bat of Fallout 3, you are giving the trauma of the game s
opening, in which you are dumped bleary eyed and bloodstained straight out of the womb. Then the
game expects you, a newborn baby, to come up with a gender, name, and future appearance. I
personally find it rude to put that much pressure on a baby. Then the story goes Christopher Nolan by
skipping parts of your life. Afterwards, your father, Liam Neeson, ditches you and leaves the vault you
have been living in your entire life. Being motherless since your mom died giving birth and Liam
Neeson ended up like Picard, you are also fatherless. Then when the protagonist is ready to step out in
the real world, the immersion breaks when the game says, Hey, are you satisfied with your first ten
minutes of the game because if you aren t just step into this DeLorean and travel back to the past? I

Success By Malcolm Gladwell
In society, there is a common misconception that success simply arises from a combination of an
individual s innate talent and drive to acquire success. However, in the book Outliers The Story of
Success by Malcolm Gladwell, Gladwell introduces a new and different perspective of the foundation
of success, and proposes that other factors contribute to and can even determine the likelihood of
someone succeeding. Aspects such as hidden advantages, upbringing, timing, and cultural legacies
play a significant role in how well one will do in this world. The outliers of society are the individuals
who, because of their chance opportunities, have cultivated their inner talents and abilities to become
successful.
Hidden advantages play a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As Gladwell dives deeper into the success stories of notable figures, their stories all share a common
theme that their success was not just of their own making (67) but was a product of the world in which
they grew up in. (67) The special opportunities hidden in their lives allowed them to achieve the
10,000 hours needed to master their craft, one of Gladwell s essential components for the recipe to
success. Bill Gates, a distinguished figure in the software world serves as a prime example as a
beneficiary of the hidden advantages received that launched him into a path to success. Bill Gates
sheer brilliance and ambition and guts (50) were not the only reasons for his success. Gates success is
owed to his opportunity to do real time programming as an eighth grader in 1968 (51), essentially
setting him up to become successful, as others did not have the same opportunities as he did. If Bill
Joy had not had an extraordinary, early opportunity to learn programming (51) and the Beatles had not
had the opportunity to perform for 270 nights on just over a year and a half (50), would they have
become just as successful? Through these cases, Gladwell makes it evident that the role of chance
opportunities is significant and vital to the likelihood of one becoming successful.
An individual s chance of success is predetermined by their family background and upbringing. As
Gladwell investigates those who were successful and those

Conflict Resolution At Blessing Hospital
Conflict Resolution at Blessing Hospital Conflict occurs in every setting of everyday life. Whether it
is between a co worker, someone that is seen in passing, or even with a complete stranger. Most of the
time, resolution will occur with a conflict, in order to de escalate the situation, especially in a health
care setting. This helps the outcome for those involved, along with the care that is provided to
patients. As simple minded as it may sound, some conflicts are not resolved, which in turn, affects the
care that is provided to patients within the hospital setting. Conflicts occur in stages, involve
collaboration to resolve, and need rationale in order to help everyone overcome them.

Conflict occurs in different stages. According to Finkelman, (2013) there is felt conflict, latent
conflict, perceived conflict, and manifested conflict. Latent conflict involved anticipation of conflict.
Perceived conflict is a stage that requires recognition that a conflict exists while felt conflict occurs
when individuals have feelings about conflict. Manifest conflict occurs when the conflict is overt. The
mentioned example showed a true definition of a felt conflict. Both Nurse A and B became emotional
and anticipated the conflict. They both went on with their plans, feeling upset and angered about the
conflict that had occurred. The attitudes and anger clung with the nurses and it was very evident
throughout the rest of the shift. Patient care was lessened on night shift due to the lack of
communication between the nurses and aid. Nurse A left work mad and carried her mood home to her
family.
Resolving Conflict With Collaboration Collaboration, especially in this situation could have caused
both nurses and the aid to avoid the conflict all together. Day shift tends to be more hectic than night
shift, therefore, each could have

The Causes and Effects of the Arab Springs
Have you ever been to the Middle East? Well, if you haven t, you sure are missing out on a lot. There
is one thing for sure, you are missing out on those Arab Springs. Yes, I said it, Arab Springs, which are
getting into a big issue. Arab Springs is a series of anti government protests, uprisings and armed
rebellions that spread across the Middle East in early 2011. The people in the Middle East are uprising
their rulers choices of their decisions and hoping to have a democracy. There were many countries,
which overthrew their government, like Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, and Libya. There are still many
countries, which is still ongoing to overthrow their government like Syria and Bahrain. During the
process with the conflict in the Middle East, there is a lot of questions to answer, the causes, succesful
uprising and ongoing uprisings, and how it affects the United States. The main cause of the Arab
Spring is mainly on the dissatisfaction of how the government ruled the country. During the uprising,
there had been many human rights violations, unemployment, and political corruption. The tension
between the Middle Eastern countries is that there is a lack of government reform, which should be
changed. The Arab springs are happening frequently now in the Middle Eastern Countries, since the
people are demanding for democracy. The first country to start the Arab Spring is Tunisia, which
started on December 2011. It all started when a man named Mohammed was selling

Organizational Ethical Behavior Trends
Value motivated ethical leadership is needed today. The world has such a diverse work force today,
and managers must develop and empower workers to achieve organizational goals. One develops his
or her ethics from his or her culture, ethnic background, and religious beliefs. This paper discusses the
importance of ethics and technology in the managerial decision making process and work related

The influence of ethics on decision making Ethics is about making choices with integrity. The future

People sense same ethical dilemmas differently, and even those with ethical sensitivity may feel or
understand the dilemma in different ways. For example, some may think reporting misconduct to
supervisors outside the chain of command is an unethical act because it is disrespectful to the
immediate superior. Some, however, believe that such an individual act, as long as benefiting the
general welfare of the group, is not in violation of a code of ethics (Fang, M., 2006). It is important to
understand an ethical dilemma before the actual decision making process begins. Once the dilemma
has been identified, individuals will start engaging in moral reasoning. However, a morally right
judgment will not necessarily lead to moral behavior. The decision making process involves many
other concerns, including self interests. For example, a person understands that giving out company
secrets to competitors is morally wrong but may still decide to do it out of self interest. The reason is
that he of she fails to establish a moral intent which shows his or her resolution to act on a moral
judgment. One may decide not to act on a decision that is perfectly ethical but on the decision that
may bring about an outcome that he or she prefers (Fang, M., 2006). One difference between an
average decision and an ethical one is that traditional rules may not apply and the decision maker must

Voltaire and The Enlightenment
The eighteenth century was a crucial changing point in the European history because of The
Enlightenment. The Enlightenment was revolutionary because of Voltaire, a writer that used his ideas
to attack the established Catholic Church, and to propagate the freedom of religion, scientific
thoughts, skepticism and experiential philosophy.
Voltaire was born in 1694, a year that was under the regiment of Louis XIV. At that time, the
aristocracy ruled France in an extreme way that most commoners were struggling in poverty. From a
middle class family, Voltaire did not like the political environment of France and the aristocratic
system. As a well educated and intelligent student from the college of Louis le Grand, he became a

By this storyline, Voltaire wanted to tell the French aristocracy that they did not have any heritage.
Once they were expelled from their current positions, they needed to live as commoners, or maybe
suffered more because they had never done anything in the castle.
Even though Candide was expelled, he was still very happy because he always believed in optimistic
philosophy. He learnt the philosophy from his teacher, Panloss, a parody of the contemporary
philosophers in the seventeenth century that always argued about the metaphysics, which had no use
in the real world. Also, the optimism was a satire from the philosophy of Leibniz, a popular
philosopher around that time. The optimism was widely used in the Christian churches to tell people
that life was always full of happiness because the perfect God created the world. Human beings
suffered in the world because they did not see the greater purpose from God. The sufferings were only
trials and in the end the human being would still deserve ultimate happiness. After the Lisbon s
earthquake, which killed more than 30,000 people, many of who died because they were just praying
to the God without actually doing anything, Voltaire was very angry about the situation that the priests
in the church did not help people, but led them to sit in the church and pray. Therefore, he wanted to
attack this philosophy, so in Candide he described the horrible

After four hundred years of indecisive Ottoman rule, and three decades fighting the mandate of the

Background:
According to Henderson, speed is how far an object travels during a specific amount of time and does
not include the direction. Velocity can be explained as the speed of an object, but also including the
direction the object is heading towards (Henderson, 2015).
Giancoli states that the velocity of an object is taken with the magnitude the numerical value and the
direction of the object (Giancoli, 2009). Therefore, with these two qualities, velocity can be illustrated

The Admission Fee At Disneyland Park Essay
In 1955 the admission fee to only get into the Disneyland park was only $1.00 and rides were from
10c to 75c. They also had ticket books available where you could buy admission and 8 rides for $2.50.
After three months A Day at Disneyland was introduced which included admission and 10 rides in one
set price. All the rides were categorized from A to E with the A rides being cheaper and E rides were
the more expensive and popular rides. There were different sized ticket books which varied in the
amounts that each ticket could be used. There were never enough of the D and E tickets in the books
so Disney set up Ticket Booths in each park (Fantasyland had two), where people could purchase
additional rides they needed which priced from 10c to 90c each. All the rides had to keep getting re
categorized over the years as new rides were being developed and the older rides became less popular.
In 1980 Disney raised the admission price to $10.00 USD which included admission into the parks
and 10 rides. When the Epcot park was opened the coupons would not work so on October 1, 1982 all
of the parks created a pay one price per park. This meant people had to pay to get into each park
separately. In 1982, Disney dropped the idea of individual ride tickets to a single admission price with
unlimited access to all attractions. When Walt Disney World opened in 1971, tickets to get in were
only $3.50 USD. In 1994 park hopping was created where one person could hop between the parks

The Importance Of Public Health And Environmental Problems...
The Tijuana Estuary has been affected for many decades from the pollution that is brought by the
runoff from the Tijuana watershed. The Tijuana watershed is a large watershed with an area of 1,750
square miles. The Tijuana watershed is a unique watershed in San Diego because three fourths of the
watershed is in Mexico where a majority of the runoff flows across the border into the United States
where it is discharged into the ocean. The watershed is located in a dry environment that is considered
arid and only receives 10 inches of rain annually. A majority of the western basin is made up of
developed land while the eastern basin is mostly undeveloped land (The Tijuana River National
Estuarine Research Reserve 2014). The Tijuana watershed has a rapid population growth with a

Miss America Pageant Protest Report
The topic that I have chosen to talk about is the Miss America Pageant Protest. This was a protest that
occurred in 1969 in Atlantic City. This protest started off as a publicity stunt, so more individuals
would tour the city. The pageant was divided into a couple of days of the week and each day their
would be different events for women that were chosen to attend. This event was basically portraying
that women had to be a certain way in order to compete or get the Miss America title. As time went
on, feminist around the world gathered together to protest how unfair pageants were. They declared
that pageants were only focused on physical characteristics of women, and if an individual didn t meet
the requirements , then they wouldn t qualify

1.0 Introduction Lorie Savage Problem The Lorie Savage problem is a problem introduced in 1955
that addresses the issue in how to allocate capital (or resources) among competing investment
opportunities with constraints on the available resources. (Lorie amp; Savage, 1955, p. 229) In
defining this problem, Lorie Savage structures it by outlining three separate scenarios:

(Lorie amp; Savage, 1955, p. 234) Turns out this is an Integer Programming optimization problem as
it has identified constraints with the end output being to either accept an investment (using the integer
1), or decline (using the integer 0). Since the Lagrange Multipliers are real values, this is more
specifically classified as a Mixed Integer Programming problem. (Trick, 1998) Their research proved
to be revolutionary as this strayed from the traditional accepted method in using IRR, and this research
has evolved since. One example of this is demonstrated where Seymour Kaplan introduced the
concept of applying the Generalized Lagrange Multiplier (G.L.M.) method with Integer Programming,
using the Lorie Savage problem as a basis for comparison, that found favorable results in the
effectiveness of G.L.M. in producing optimal solutions using NPV to make investment decisions.
(Kaplan, 1966, p. 1136) Building on this research was the introduction of using genetic algorithms
(GA) to solve capital budgeting problems in allowing financial analysts to find optimal investment
combinations for various situations, such as the multiple tax structures a company may encounter.
(Berry amp; Manongga, 2006, p. 96) Expanding on the GA implementation was research conducted
that incorporated fuzzy set theory on problems when investment parameters contained scant or vague
information and therefore had great uncertainty. Xiaoxia Huang created a new mean

LEARNED CREATIVITY
Artists are often born with the innate ability to draw, but any adult can learn the skill. Becoming a
master draftsman requires countless hours of hard work, immeasurable amounts of patience, an
endless supply of perseverance, a burning passion for art, and dedication to self expression. These
traits are not easily accumulated but certainly attainable for anyone who is willing. Guidance from an
instructor can facilitate the act of learning but, is not the only route artists have taken. They have
accomplished the impossible, they have taught themselves the elements and principles of art through
experimentation, abundant practice, and diligent effort.
Despite difficulties, artists like Cézanne, Brancusi, and Van Gogh were

Arguments On Human Cloning
Human cloning has been around since 1952 and up to this day, the issues surrounding cloning of
humans remain a hot topic. People are divided on both sides of the controversy and morally the
arguments are broader. The word cloning is mostly used in everyday communication to mean and
represent many different technological procedures. More specifically, cloning is defined as somatic
cell nuclear transfer. Human cloning is a very controversial topic as well as a tremendous
breakthrough in today s technology and science. There have been many experiments on animal
cloning which have been successful, and because of these discoveries, there is a belief that human
cloning would be successful too.
Many individuals argue that each human life is unique and born of a miracle that is beyond laboratory
science. A fundamental argument is that cloning is ethically wrong, and many religious groups have
rejected it saying that cloning is equivalent to playing God . And cloning goes against these certain
religions because they believe only God has created life and its various forms in nature, and humans
should have no right to act like God . And many others argue that human cloning should continue for
many reasons. One of them being that cloned humans embryos would make research into genetics and
genetically related diseases and their preventions or treatments, much easier, as well as cheaper.
Embryo cloning has also been seen as a potential treatment for infertility when in vitro fertilization is
not available. And this can occur when parents are infertile, or when both or one of the parents harbor
a genome coding for certain undesirable traits or beliefs. Cloned embryos tissues could be used for the
replacement of lost or diseased tissues. Some experts believe that embryo should not require any
moral consideration. Reason being that they believe at the stage an embryo is cloned, it is basically
just a bunch of cells that contain DNA, which are considered no different than the millions of skin
cells we shed daily. At that stage, embryonic cells should not be considered equivalent to human
beings because it does not have any self awareness, memory, feelings, thoughts, organs, legs, arms,
etc. However, adult cloning might be

Then and Now: Changes of Racism, Sexism, and Classism
In To Kill A Mockingbird, by Harper Lee, Jem and Scout, the protagonists in the book, experience and
learn about the problems of racism, sexism, and classism when their father, Atticus, agrees to defend
Tom Robinson, an African American, in a trial. Set in the 1930s, most people were treated unfairly
because of their race, gender, or social class. Even though problems about race, gender, and class
decreased over time, these problems are still very prevalent today. Even though racism decreased
dramatically over the past decades, there are still problems today that are strikingly similar to the
problems in To Kill A Mockingbird. In To Kill A Mockingbird, Atticus explains to Jem and Scout
about the unfairness of court: when it s a white man s word against a black man s, the white man
always wins. They re ugly, but those are the facts of life (Lee 220). Even though this was set in the
1930 s, juries from court still have a racial bias to this day. In fact, from the Sentencing Project, an
organization that advocates change in sentencing policy and advocating alternatives to incarceration, it
has been shown that African Americans are six times more likely to be incarcerated than white males...
if current trends continue, one of every three black Americans can expect to go to prison in his lifetime

they will be noticing the change in their behaviour and memory and it will make them think about
what has changed and because of their short memory they may get worried that something bad has

in the rest of his life advanced music in jazz and pop. With his great influence and legacy in music,
many people would use the name of one of Cole s most popular songs, Unforgettable , to describe the

Pericles Funeral Oration Of Athenian Democracy
After reading Pericles funeral oration it is defiantly clear that he strongly believed that democracy was
the best possible form of government. Pericles saw Athens as superior to other city states based on
their implementation of democracy which ultimately represented freedom, liberty, courage, honor and
justice. In his funeral oration, Pericles refers to the Athenian democracy as a system of government
where men are able to advance in society as a result of their merits rather than on class or wealth. In
the Athenian democracy class considerations are not allowed to interfere with merit and therefore any
man who showcased his ability to rule could do so, even if he wasn t part of the upper class or had
some wealth to back himself up. Pericles

For examples in the Table 1, it outlines some effects of culture on accounting and financial statements.
Cultures Effects on accounting behaviors
High uncertainty avoidance and low individualism. Conservative measurement of income, limit

Uncertainty avoidance decreased. Transparency increased.

However, it is difficult to find out specific evidences on the effects of culture on the company s
financial reporting within a large international firm due to some limitations. Firstly, the cultural data is
not reliable in an accounting context (Nobes and Parker, 2012). For example, UK and Germany use
different legal and accounting systems despite both of them are European countries. German
companies are in operating under their own laws and policies. Secondly, compared with the
measurement of direct relevant elements of the external environment of accounting such as legal
systems or equity markets, the measurements of cultural influences within a company accounting
system are vague and indirect (Nobes and parker, 2012). Culture measurement is complex, Hofstede s

that make you feel? Once Beethoven died, people started to discover his pieces and started
reproducing them, which led to more fame. Another would be, Are your works of music dedicated to

Summary Of Bacchae By Euripides And Oresteia
In this paper, I intend to describe the inner working of the household in Greek civilization on three
levels: family, city, and cosmos of gods. To achieve this goal, we will look into Bacchae by Euripides,
and Oresteia by Aeschylus. Bacchae shows the workings of the house of Cadmus, a royal family,
whose actions directly affect their city. This family tree includes a god, and is strongly affected by the
will of the cosmos, through Dionysus. Oresteia is a play of three parts. We see the families
dysfunctional interactions, and how they impact the city over time. We also see how the gods have an
influence on these characters lives throughout the events that happen. Overall these interactions lead
to the undermining of Greek civilization through death and destruction. Bacchae is a good example of
the three levels of the household. Starting with the level of family we see the flawed family dynamic
in the house of Cadmus. Cadmus has four daughters. Semele is the mother of Dionysus, and Agave is
the mother of Pentheus. Semele claimed the father of her child was Zeus, but the rest of her family did
not believe her tales, calling her a liar. No one in the family, or city for that matter, believed Dionysus
status was true, disrespecting him and his followers. Dionysus say Pentheus ...pays no attention to me
in his prayers. For that I ll show him I am a true god. (Bacc.46 48) Dionysus does just that, showing
them the truth in the worst way possible, enacting his revenge by having Agave unknowingly rip her
own son, Pentheus, apart with the help of her sisters. Agave says she d like to go far away from the
curse of Kithairon....where there s no display of a thyrus to remind me. (Bacc.1384 1386) She know
Dionysus has defeated them, and her son is dead, she wants only to get away from the pain. This royal
family is torn apart, murderer, exiled, and turned to serpents at the hands of one of their own relatives
because they had no respect for him or his followers.
The fact that the family is of royal blood mean what happens to them affects not just the inner
workings of the family, but the city state as a whole, or the second level of the household. When the
city did not believe Dionysus, instead backing the beliefs

Physical And Chemical Changes Lab Report
Title: Physical and Chemical Changes
Purpose: Recognize and distinguish between chemical and physical changes
Apparatus and Material: evaporating dish, Bunsen burner, wood splint, test tubes, micro spatula,

Piece of paper, NaCl (sodium chloride), water, 6 M HCL (hydrochloric acid), 0.1 M AgNO3 (silver
nitrate), Mg ribbon, 6 M HCL (hydrochloric acid), CuSO4 5 H2O, 0.50g iron fillings, 0.50g of

Safety: When heating a substance in a test tube, be sure the open end of the test tube points away from

acids. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Heated crystals change color from blue to white; water vapor forms on the walls of the test tube.
Addition of water turns the heated crystals from white back to dark blue, almost teal color.
5. Sulfur appears as yellow powder; iron is dark brown powder; mixed together, they look like dirt.
Iron becomes attracted to the magnet, following it if it s close enough; sulfur does not. Magnet can be
used to separate the two mixtures.
6. On heating the iron sulfur mixture, the sulfur melts and reacts with the iron exothermically to first
evaporate into a yellow gas, then form a reddish orange, solidified substance that glows . The
substance releases an unpleasant odor of rotten eggs. The iron on the bottom turns black and does not
react with a magnet. The glowing substance turns out to be a soft solid when probed.
7. Zinc is a silver solid with a light mass. Addition of zinc metal to copper sulfate solution results in an
exothermic reaction that produces a brown reddish precipitate (copper). Zinc becomes coated with the
copper precipitate, thus becoming dark.
Conclusions and data:
1. a) tearing paper physical change; retaining of properties, no new substances created
b) burning paper chemical change, gas and heat given off (evidence of chemical reaction)
c) dissolving NaCl physical change; solution formed, but individual properties retained; separation
possible by distillation.
d) mixing NaCl and AgNO3 chemical change; white precipitate, or

Compare And Contrast In Another Country And Ambush
In both In Another Country by Ernest Hemingway and Ambush by Tim O Brien, there are aspects that
are similar. To get a clear aspect of what both texts look at, Hemingway writes about a short story that
is based on the impacts of World War I on soldiers. The short story mainly focuses on how these
particular soldiers experienced the traumatic event of having to participate in the war which was both
psychologically and physically harmful to them. In Ambush O Brien narrates from a first person
perspective of his account when he was a soldier, the story is based on his last war story that aims at

The theme is similar to the one presented by Hemmingway because of the notion or concept used to

regret is from throwing the grenade and having to kill all those people he killed. The regret is from
killing the soldiers and all he wished for was that the soldiers had just walked away past him, that way
he wouldn t have had to throw the grenade. In developing the theme, O Brien uses visions to show the
regret and also to contemplate on what would have happened if things were to happen differently. The
two stories were both similar in their story line which was about war. However, the main themes in
both stories differ. While one explores World War 1 and the effects it had on the soldiers who played a
part in it, the other explores the resentment one ex soldier has for killing a soldier while at war and he

Use Of Language And Communication Usage
Language has affected us throughout decades by progressing and setting limits on the words used and
the way people speak. It has allowed people to express themselves through not only actions, but with
words. Also, as people grow and develop they learn new concepts referring to language and
communication usage. For example, they learn ways to write more sophisticated, the effect of words,
and the purpose of language. When understanding a new concept on language or communication
usage important considerations need to be made the modern English student.
Connotation of words is an important consideration because of the feeling the word may create and
the idea of verbal taboo. When people use words such as crippled or queer a feeling of uneasiness or
shock arose because those those words aren t socially acceptable to describe people in those situations.
This is because the words are generally perceived as rude or disrespectful. Instead, people use words
like disabled or part of the LGBT community because they are neutral and aren t disrespectful. For
example, in the article On Being a Cripple Nancy Mairs says, People crippled or not wince at the word
cripple as they do not at handicapped or disabled I want them to see me as a tough customer...
Disabled by contrast, suggests and incapacity, physical or mental... I would never refer to another

The Rwandan Genocide And Ethnic Conflict
INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND
1.0 Introduction
The Rwandan genocide has been a topic of discussion and study by many scholars, researchers and
humanitarian bodies seeking to find the root cause of its happening. Some found out that deterioration
in the political climate was the possible cause. Others argued that the Hutu elite were only
safeguarding their political power from the Tutsis who had, under the colonial rule, oppressed the
Hutus. The genocide was seen to be the best platform for settling scores between the two ethnic
groups.
The purpose of the study is to find out whether the Rwandan genocide was as a result of ethnic
hostilities or other underlying reasons while focusing on its impact on the country s economic, social,
cultural as well as political spheres. It will also seek to fill the gap of knowledge on what could be
done to reduce the occurrence of such conflicts.
The African governments play a critical role in ensuring that policies are put in place to promote
cohesion among the different ethnic groups that constitute the nation. The role might not have been
well played hence the occurrence of the Rwanda genocide which was a massive blow on the African
country. Ethnic difference might occur but how the leaders deal with them paves way for either peace
of conflict. Leaders are the starting point, form the remarks they make during political rallies to their
postings on social media.
The international humanitarian bodies have a role to play in peacekeeping,

The Treatment Of Cystic Fibrosis
I couldn t imagine what it would be like growing up with a life threating condition that has no cure.

Cystic Fibrosis since she was three years old. Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic condition that causes mucus
to build up in the lungs and digestive system, making it hard to breath. Basically everything in my
body is thicker, so the mucus in my lungs is harder to break up and get out which causes frequent lung
infections. Amanda explained to me. Cystic Fibrosis also impacts her ability to digest food, resulting
in her being underweight most of her life. While I have known Amanda since kindergarten, we have

method is the newly developed process where three people will be analyzing the qualifications and
suitability of the applicants. Compared with the old assessment conducted by external consulting
firms, this ensure reliability and credibility as the firm can find candidates that they are actually
looking for. This preliminary selection allows the recruiters to focus more on the knowledge, skills,
abilities, and others (KSAOs) of the applicants. As people have different judgments and opinions, this
provides a just screening of the candidates without any biases or prejudices involved. Although time
consuming and costly, this process ensures that all potential and promising candidates will have higher
chance of being selected. Phone interviews: This method has been proven to be very cooperative and
beneficial to many recruiters. Since this is considered as the first direct contact with the applicant
without incurring any travel expenses. In addition, the phone call can encourage the applicant to listen
to a question and respond it in their respective time and manner.

The Effects Of Pornography And Relationships
Pornography and Relationships Nowadays, we see sexual images through advertisements, movies,
social media and books everyday to an extent that these images are considered normal. Many people
argue that watching porn can hurt and destroy relationships. According to many doctors and
researchers, pornography can be harmful for one s body and their relationships. Studies and surveys
show that women are the ones who are affected by male porn the most. Although this debate is not a
new subject, it is far from resolved. The majority of women are unhappy with the fact that their
partners view pornography because they believe that porn reduces the relationship commitment. On
the other hand, some argue that watching porn can actually help to improve sexual needs in
relationships. Looking at the studies and researches, it is clear that watching porn is more harmful than
beneficial for a relationship. Peg Streep, the author of What Porn Does to Intimacy article, reasons
why viewing pornography is bad for romantic relationships. She believes that pornography should not
have a role in serious relationships, and she supports her claim by using different studies and
researches. Streep writes that the number of men who think that watching porn is okay when they are
in a relationship, are much more than women who have the same mindset. Streep points out three
reasons why she believes that porn can hurt relationships. The first reason is that couples who watch
porn alone are more likely to

  • 2. Analysis Of Matthew 22 s The Kingdom Of Heaven Why do you suppose Jesus mentions what this man was wearing? Listen to me, everything that Jesus says and does in the New Testament is very important! Whatever the garment is that this man has on is a social faux pas to the celebration that he has been invited to. The rest of the parable is pretty straightforward as Jesus describes the kingdom of heaven, the kingdom of heaven is like... Remember at the beginning of the parable, we are told that the first group that was invited to the wedding, refused to attend. When the King heard about it, he was furious, and he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city, Matthew 22:7 8 NKJV. The King then declared an open invitation to everyone to attend the marriage of his son. The parable in Matthew 22 is a profound teaching. It shows that the invitation to salvation is the same as receiving an invitation to the wedding of the Messiah. That is why the garment that the one man had on was such an irritation to the King. It was not so much what the man was wearing per se. It was a heart issue! The apostle John tells us the significance of wedding garments in Revelation 19. And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings saying: Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. And to her it was granted to be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Introduction When looking to educate myself on the most commonly seen health conditions in hospitals, I turned to Mrs. Tonya Simpson RN, a registered nurse at St. Joseph hospital in New Jersey. Mrs. Simpson informed me that Tuberculosis is a disease that she sees profusely at St. Joseph hospital. During the interview I gained great insight on why she chose this particular disease, the etiology, the frequency, prevalence, pathophysiology, signs/symptoms, treatments, and the prognosis of Tuberculosis. Etiology During the interview with healthcare provider Mrs. Tonya Simpson, she when in great detail explaining that Tuberculosis is a bacterial disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This is a disease that affects the lungs and can be transmitted from person to person by coughing, face to face conversing, sneezing, and even breathing the same air of an infected person can spread the disease. A profuse amount of people have TB, but the bacteria is not active, which prevents them from being contagious (T. Simpson, personal communication, March 25, 2015). It is only when the disease is presented to be active that it can be transmitted. Seniors and children have a greater risk to be infected with Tuberculosis due to their weak immune systems. Incidence and Prevalence In 2013 Tuberculosis had a total of 9,588 new tuberculosis (TB) cases reported in the United States, with an incidence rate of 3.0 cases per 100,000 population, a decrease of 4.2% from 2012 (Negar Niki Alami, ... Mountaintop removal (MTR) is one approach applied in the Appalachian region of the United States for the extraction of the resource coal. MTR approaches the coal from the top of the mountain by blasting away the layers of rock above the coal seams and scraping away the layers of coal. This process leaves behind effects to the surrounding environment including flooding, contamination to water and air, health impacts, and ecological impacts. In response to these effects the community members most affected have taken it upon themselves to raise their voices in protest. The suit against the coal company became known as Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition v. Aracoma Coal Company. This lawsuit involved four permits issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, allowing for certain mountaintop mining processes at four mining sites in West Virginia. OVEC alleged that the Corps violated the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) by failing to adequately assess the environmental impact of the valley fills, by improperly limiting the scope of the environmental assessment, and by ignoring evidence regarding the cumulative effects of valley fills on the environment (Clark, 2008, p. 146). Much to the surprise of these coalition groups on March 2007, the district court found in favor of OVEC and held that the Corps failed to comply with the CWA and NEPA when it issued the four permits. The court further noted that a CWA Section 404 permit may not be issued if the Corps fails to comply with its own guidelines and with NEPA when making a finding of no significant impact. The court remanded the permits to the Corps for further consideration in light of its findings. The court also rescinded the four permits, enjoining the Corps and Intervenors from taking any action under the challenged permits. On appeal, the Fourth Circuit reversed the district court s order and held that the Corps did not violate the CWA or NEPA in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Education And Study At Universities There are many reasons why people decide to continue their education and study at Universities. It may be for enjoyment, for learning a new skill, for networking, or for career advancement, etc. However, for most people, education is an investment for the future, and is considered as a gateway to obtaining higher earnings in the future either via the job market or self employment. It s commonly believed that the higher the qualification you get, the higher the chance you would get a well paid job. However, what about for entrepreneurs? People who don t want to work in a steady paid job, but who wants to be their own boss. Do entrepreneurs need to study for a University degree? Would, in the course of studying a degree, increase the chance of becoming a successful entrepreneur? Does higher education teach the necessary skills to help people be successful in running a business? Thus, lead to my research topic. I would like to investigate whether successful entrepreneurs obtained their necessary skills whilst studying at University. To begin with, how do we define a successful entrepreneur ? The Cambridge Dictionary defines successful as achieving the results wanted or hope for/ having achieved a lot, become popular, and/ or made a lot of money [Cambridge Dictionaries Online, 2014], and the definition of an entrepreneur is someone who starts their own business, especially when this involves seeing a new opportunity [Cambridge Dictionaries Online, 2014]. ... Although, I never could understand why Bethesda likes to kick off their amazing voice actors off the face of the Earth. I m pretty sure if Bethesda was able to cast Mel Blanc and James Earl Jones as voice actors they would probably be either Gordon Freeman or Link. In The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, they kill off Patrick Stewart in addition to that we get ten minutes of Liam Neeson in Fallout 3. The gameplay is solid and the story is decent, it is best to ignore most of the story because of it being a pretty bland story telling, but I would recommend reading the story and the newspaper through the land to give the game character. However, in the book Outliers The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell, Gladwell introduces a new and different perspective of the foundation of success, and proposes that other factors contribute to and can even determine the likelihood of someone succeeding. Aspects such as hidden advantages, upbringing, timing, and cultural legacies play a significant role in how well one will do in this world. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As Gladwell dives deeper into the success stories of notable figures, their stories all share a common theme that their success was not just of their own making (67) but was a product of the world in which they grew up in. (67) The special opportunities hidden in their lives allowed them to achieve the 10,000 hours needed to master their craft, one of Gladwell s essential components for the recipe to success. Bill Gates, a distinguished figure in the software world serves as a prime example as a beneficiary of the hidden advantages received that launched him into a path to success. Bill Gates sheer brilliance and ambition and guts (50) were not the only reasons for his success. Gates success is owed to his opportunity to do real time programming as an eighth grader in 1968 (51), essentially setting him up to become successful, as others did not have the same opportunities as he did. If Bill Joy had not had an extraordinary, early opportunity to learn programming (51) and the Beatles had not had the opportunity to perform for 270 nights on just over a year and a half (50), would they have become just as successful? Through these cases, Gladwell makes it evident that the role of chance opportunities is significant and vital to the likelihood of one becoming successful. Manifest conflict occurs when the conflict is overt. The mentioned example showed a true definition of a felt conflict. Both Nurse A and B became emotional and anticipated the conflict. People sense same ethical dilemmas differently, and even those with ethical sensitivity may feel or understand the dilemma in different ways. For example, some may think reporting misconduct to supervisors outside the chain of command is an unethical act because it is disrespectful to the immediate superior. Some, however, believe that such an individual act, as long as benefiting the general welfare of the group, is not in violation of a code of ethics (Fang, M., 2006). It is important to understand an ethical dilemma before the actual decision making process begins. Once the dilemma has been identified, individuals will start engaging in moral reasoning. However, a morally right judgment will not necessarily lead to moral behavior. The decision making process involves many other concerns, including self interests. For example, a person understands that giving out company secrets to competitors is morally wrong but may still decide to do it out of self interest. The reason is that he of she fails to establish a moral intent which shows his or her resolution to act on a moral judgment. One may decide not to act on a decision that is perfectly ethical but on the decision that may bring about an outcome that he or she prefers (Fang, M., 2006). • 17. Voltaire and The Enlightenment The eighteenth century was a crucial changing point in the European history because of The Enlightenment. The Enlightenment was revolutionary because of Voltaire, a writer that used his ideas to attack the established Catholic Church, and to propagate the freedom of religion, scientific thoughts, skepticism and experiential philosophy. Voltaire was born in 1694, a year that was under the regiment of Louis XIV. At that time, the aristocracy ruled France in an extreme way that most commoners were struggling in poverty. From a middle class family, Voltaire did not like the political environment of France and the aristocratic system. By this storyline, Voltaire wanted to tell the French aristocracy that they did not have any heritage. Once they were expelled from their current positions, they needed to live as commoners, or maybe suffered more because they had never done anything in the castle. Even though Candide was expelled, he was still very happy because he always believed in optimistic philosophy. He learnt the philosophy from his teacher, Panloss, a parody of the contemporary philosophers in the seventeenth century that always argued about the metaphysics, which had no use in the real world. Also, the optimism was a satire from the philosophy of Leibniz, a popular philosopher around that time. The optimism was widely used in the Christian churches to tell people that life was always full of happiness because the perfect God created the world. Human beings suffered in the world because they did not see the greater purpose from God. The sufferings were only trials and in the end the human being would still deserve ultimate happiness. After the Lisbon s earthquake, which killed more than 30,000 people, many of who died because they were just praying to the God without actually doing anything, Voltaire was very angry about the situation that the priests in the church did not help people, but led them to sit in the church and pray. Therefore, he wanted to attack this philosophy, so in Candide he described the horrible ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

After four hundred years of indecisive Ottoman rule, and three decades fighting the mandate of the French, the many diverse peoples of Syria finally could call Syria their own. Yet, independence was not synonymous with peace. Without a common enemy, the Syrian people remembered their differences and began to squabble amongst themselves. Even now, seven decades after the formation of the Syrian Arab Republic, peace is yet but a far flung dream. In June of 2000, then President Hafez al Assad, of the previous Ba ath Party, passed away and his title was left, through an unfortunate accident, in the hands of his second, less determined son, Bashar al Assad. • 20. The Admission Fee At Disneyland Park Essay In 1955 the admission fee to only get into the Disneyland park was only $1.00 and rides were from 10c to 75c. They also had ticket books available where you could buy admission and 8 rides for $2.50. After three months A Day at Disneyland was introduced which included admission and 10 rides in one set price. All the rides were categorized from A to E with the A rides being cheaper and E rides were the more expensive and popular rides. There were different sized ticket books which varied in the amounts that each ticket could be used. There were never enough of the D and E tickets in the books so Disney set up Ticket Booths in each park (Fantasyland had two), where people could purchase additional rides they needed which priced from 10c to 90c each. All the rides had to keep getting re categorized over the years as new rides were being developed and the older rides became less popular. In 1980 Disney raised the admission price to $10.00 USD which included admission into the parks and 10 rides. When the Epcot park was opened the coupons would not work so on October 1, 1982 all of the parks created a pay one price per park. This meant people had to pay to get into each park separately. In 1982, Disney dropped the idea of individual ride tickets to a single admission price with unlimited access to all attractions. When Walt Disney World opened in 1971, tickets to get in were only $3.50 USD. In 1994 park hopping was created where one person could hop between the parks ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 21. The Importance Of Public Health And Environmental Problems... The Tijuana Estuary has been affected for many decades from the pollution that is brought by the runoff from the Tijuana watershed. The Tijuana watershed is a large watershed with an area of 1,750 square miles. The Tijuana watershed is a unique watershed in San Diego because three fourths of the watershed is in Mexico where a majority of the runoff flows across the border into the United States where it is discharged into the ocean. The watershed is located in a dry environment that is considered arid and only receives 10 inches of rain annually. A majority of the western basin is made up of developed land while the eastern basin is mostly undeveloped land (The Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve 2014). The Tijuana watershed has a rapid population growth with a majority of the Mexican residents living with insufficient utilities which causes unsanitary conditions and accelerated erosion. Public health and environmental problems occur because Mexico does not have strong environmental policies. Projects to help with these issues have been put into place to help improve water quality. Most of the runoff that is collected in the watershed eventually makes its way into the Tijuana Estuary and along the coastline which can result in economic problems because of beach closures. These areas are also home to many endangered species. Many of the endangered birds that live in the Tijuana estuary feed on plants and small fish that are in and around the watershed. The ... (Lorie amp; Savage, 1955, p. 234) Turns out this is an Integer Programming optimization problem as it has identified constraints with the end output being to either accept an investment (using the integer 1), or decline (using the integer 0). Since the Lagrange Multipliers are real values, this is more specifically classified as a Mixed Integer Programming problem. (Trick, 1998) Their research proved to be revolutionary as this strayed from the traditional accepted method in using IRR, and this research has evolved since. One example of this is demonstrated where Seymour Kaplan introduced the concept of applying the Generalized Lagrange Multiplier (G.L.M.) method with Integer Programming, using the Lorie Savage problem as a basis for comparison, that found favorable results in the effectiveness of G.L.M. in producing optimal solutions using NPV to make investment decisions. (Kaplan, 1966, p. 1136) Building on this research was the introduction of using genetic algorithms (GA) to solve capital budgeting problems in allowing financial analysts to find optimal investment combinations for various situations, such as the multiple tax structures a company may encounter. • 25. Arguments On Human Cloning Human cloning has been around since 1952 and up to this day, the issues surrounding cloning of humans remain a hot topic. People are divided on both sides of the controversy and morally the arguments are broader. The word cloning is mostly used in everyday communication to mean and represent many different technological procedures. More specifically, cloning is defined as somatic cell nuclear transfer. Human cloning is a very controversial topic as well as a tremendous breakthrough in today s technology and science. There have been many experiments on animal cloning which have been successful, and because of these discoveries, there is a belief that human cloning would be successful too. Many individuals argue that each human life is unique and born of a miracle that is beyond laboratory science. A fundamental argument is that cloning is ethically wrong, and many religious groups have rejected it saying that cloning is equivalent to playing God . And cloning goes against these certain religions because they believe only God has created life and its various forms in nature, and humans should have no right to act like God . And many others argue that human cloning should continue for many reasons. One of them being that cloned humans embryos would make research into genetics and genetically related diseases and their preventions or treatments, much easier, as well as cheaper. Embryo cloning has also been seen as a potential treatment for infertility when in vitro fertilization is not available. And this can occur when parents are infertile, or when both or one of the parents harbor a genome coding for certain undesirable traits or beliefs. Cloned embryos tissues could be used for the replacement of lost or diseased tissues. Some experts believe that embryo should not require any moral consideration. Reason being that they believe at the stage an embryo is cloned, it is basically just a bunch of cells that contain DNA, which are considered no different than the millions of skin cells we shed daily. At that stage, embryonic cells should not be considered equivalent to human beings because it does not have any self awareness, memory, feelings, thoughts, organs, legs, arms, etc. However, adult cloning might be ... Even though problems about race, gender, and class decreased over time, these problems are still very prevalent today. • 34. Summary Of Bacchae By Euripides And Oresteia In this paper, I intend to describe the inner working of the household in Greek civilization on three levels: family, city, and cosmos of gods. To achieve this goal, we will look into Bacchae by Euripides, and Oresteia by Aeschylus. Bacchae shows the workings of the house of Cadmus, a royal family, whose actions directly affect their city. This family tree includes a god, and is strongly affected by the will of the cosmos, through Dionysus. Oresteia is a play of three parts. We see the families dysfunctional interactions, and how they impact the city over time. We also see how the gods have an influence on these characters lives throughout the events that happen. Overall these interactions lead to the undermining of Greek civilization through death and destruction. Bacchae is a good example of the three levels of the household. Starting with the level of family we see the flawed family dynamic in the house of Cadmus. Cadmus has four daughters. Semele is the mother of Dionysus, and Agave is the mother of Pentheus. Semele claimed the father of her child was Zeus, but the rest of her family did not believe her tales, calling her a liar. No one in the family, or city for that matter, believed Dionysus status was true, disrespecting him and his followers. Dionysus say Pentheus ...pays no attention to me in his prayers. For that I ll show him I am a true god. (Bacc.46 48) Dionysus does just that, showing them the truth in the worst way possible, enacting his revenge by having Agave unknowingly rip her own son, Pentheus, apart with the help of her sisters. Agave says she d like to go far away from the curse of Kithairon....where there s no display of a thyrus to remind me. (Bacc.1384 1386) She know Dionysus has defeated them, and her son is dead, she wants only to get away from the pain. This royal family is torn apart, murderer, exiled, and turned to serpents at the hands of one of their own relatives because they had no respect for him or his followers. The fact that the family is of royal blood mean what happens to them affects not just the inner workings of the family, but the city state as a whole, or the second level of the household.
