- 2. 1 YEC was established under the law of the Palestinian Civil Authorities in the year 2005 through a youth initiative to response to the needs of the Palestinian society. The center is licensed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of the Interior under the license number (8050). The idea of establishing the Palestinian Youth Empowerment Center came as a result of the difficult circumstances experienced by the Palestinian people, especially youth and children, since they suffer from the effects of bad psychosocial conditions in Gaza. So the center was established by investing time, intensifying the effort, devoting the spirit of volunteerism and mobilizing the energies and capabilities to serve the community. This was through the development of target group participation in training programs and development projects. The center strives to utilize its maximum capacity to offer high quality services and facilities to youth and local community members which towards achieving its mission. Association's Vision: Association's Mission: Association's goals: 2 Empowered Palestinian society to build promising youth future Youth Empowerment Centre was established to To lead the civil society work in Palestine, as independent, social oriented and humanitarian organization, seeking to empower the community economically, socially and healthily in a way that enhances the youth roles and promotes their intellectual and cultural skills. Empower youth and young people to build a community of healthy physical, social and psychological environment through ensuring concepts of justice, equality and human values. Contribute to support the marginalized groups through facilitating their access to main services such as health, education and psychosocial support. Contribute to support the communal economy and create jobs for-1 marginalized youth groups.
- 4. 3 Psychosocial support program >> Programmes Psychosocial support program Contribute to the return of community members to the normal psychological and emotional status throughout dealing with the psychological and behavioral problems symptoms. Contribute to raising the level of individual and community awareness about the causes of psychological and social problems and how to deal with it. Contribute to the promotion of proper children socialization. Work on raising the psychosocial preparedness of society members to response to disasters and crises. Work to improve the quality of psychosocial support services to Gaza Strip community members who are suffering from symptoms of psychological and behavioral problems. Enhancing social support networks that surround Gaza Strip community members who are suffering from symptoms of psychological and behavioral problems. Contribute to the development of sustainable coping strategies to Gaza Strip community members who are suffering from symptoms of psychological and behavioral problems The overall objective: to reduce t h e v u l n e r a b i l i t y o f t h e community members to be affected by psychosocial problems and difficulties through out:
- 5. 4 objectives: Vulnerable households have access to safe, e q u i t a b l e w a t e r & sanitation services, and are able to demonstrate i m p r o v e d h y g i e n e practices through out:. >> Vulnerable households have an improved knowledge, attitude & practices toward water, sanitation & hygiene. Water and sanitation providers have an improved practices in regard to quality control and management. An organized & developed water, sanitation & hygiene service provision for households. Developed safe water, sanitation, and hygiene i n f r a s t r u c t u r e f o r t h e m a r g i n a l i z e d communities. Improved quality management & governance of the water resources. Marginalized communities and women in specific has an active role in pursuing the accountability for access to better services. Targeted communities are well prepared to mitigate WASH related disaster risks. Public Health Program:

To contribute in social inclusion for the Older people at northern Gaza Strip. To empower and role of older people at local community of northern Gaza Strip. - 7. 6 " Advocacy and mobilization for the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities in northern Gaza area " 2012 Funded by : Diakonia/NA Building Capacity for Persons with disabilities & Youth leaders in understanding of disability rights and how to advocate for it To raise awareness throughout the community in Northern area, regarding persons with disabilities, and to foster respect for their rights and dignity with specific prioritized right "to be determined with PWDs committees" *To advocate a positive perceptions and greater social awareness towards persons with disabilities and raising the extent of engagement of persons with disability in society for the large scale through mass media.
