ABOUT EARTHQUAKE
An earthquake (also known as a quake, tremor or
temblor) is the perceptible shaking of the surface of
the Earth, resulting from the sudden release of
energy in the earth's crust that creates seismic
waves. Earthquakes can be violent enough to toss
people around and destroy whole cities
Earthquake cause when tow slides dash each
other.
The point where two slides dash, it is called as
epicenter.
s:The disturbances inside the earth are called
tectonic movements.
These forces bring about changes on the earth
surface and physical features like
mountains, plateaus and rift valleys are formed. Most
disastrousearthquakes are caused by tectonic
forces .
TIDAL FORCES
Tides may induce some seismicity, see tidal
triggering of earthquakes for details.
Most earthquakes form part of a sequence,
related to each other in terms of location and
time. Most earthquake clusters consist of
small tremors that cause little to no damage,
but there is a theory that earthquakes can
recur in a regular pattern.
EARTHQUAKE FAULT
TYPES
There are three main types of fault, all of which may cause an interplate
earthquake: normal, reverse (thrust) and strike-slip. Normal and reverse faulting
are examples of dip-slip,
SOME SURVIVAL STORYS
Ramu was 5 years old.
His mother and father were in the house
While he was coming from school his mother
and father died in an earth quake.
Then he ran to his home his building was
colapsed
Simra waer parents s a 10 yrs old girl
There family went to a trip in japan
While she was sleeping there parents where
in the beach.
When an earthquake cameshe was safe
and were stuck in the building
There is a man called chintu
He was a bit old
His family stay in nepal
When the earthquake came all his fmail
members died only he and his wife was
alive
PREVENTION OF
EARTHQUAKE
Drop down; take cover under a desk or table and
hold on.
Stay indoors until the shaking stops and you're sure
it's safe to exit.
Stay away from bookcases or furniture that can fall
on you.
Stay away from windows. In a high-rise building,
expect the fire alarms and sprinklers to go off during
a quake.
 If you are in bed, hold on and stay there, protecting your head with a pillow.
 If you are outdoors, find a clear spot away from buildings, trees, and power lines. Drop
to the ground.
 If you are in a car, slow down and drive to a clear place. Stay in the car until the
shaking stops.
 BEFOR SHAKINK:-If you are in bed, hold on and stay there, protecting your head
with a pillow.
 If you are outdoors, find a clear spot away from buildings, trees, and power lines. Drop
to the ground.
 If you are in a car, slow down and drive to a clear place. Stay in the car until the
shaking stops.
• IF YOU ARE IN HOME
First, move under a table or desk to protect your
body. Calmly extinguish any fires, if possible.
Protect children and the elderly. If the power supply
is suspended due to the earthquake, switch off the
circuit breaker. When the power is restored, check
the safety of your appliances before you switch the
circuit breaker back on.
IF YOU ARE IN A
DEPARTMENT STORE
Guard your head with your bag or a similar
object and stand near a wall or pillar. Stay
away from glass and display shelving.
Evacuate according to the directions of those in
charge.
IF YOU ARE ON A TRAIN OR
BUS
The train or bus may stop suddenly. Hold on to a
strap or rail.
