Tracy currently teaches second year information and communication technology (ICT II) to eighth grade students in the Forrest County School District at rural Brooklyn, Mississippi's South Forrest Attendance Center. He has also taught one year of reading and English language arts for the same school; his reading students were among the top in the district. Previously, Tracy served as band director and music teacher in the Lauderdale County, Perry County, and Forrest County School Districts. During his time as band director in his bands often received superior ratings and top-ten finishes at the state level.
