I’m encountering a recurring error: “An internal error has occurred. Please retry or report at https://developers.generativeai.google/guide/troubleshooting.” This issue persists in a loop, preventing me from writing any code. Firebase Studio appears to be unstable and sluggish. is this just for me or anyone else?

No, I have been getting this error for about 3 days now. I have tried two different API keys from 2 different accounts, but still no use.
Today this issue is particularly annoying, doesn’t matter which model I use: built-in, 2.5 pro, 2.5 flash.
Guys, I really want to give it a solid go. Studio has great potential but now I am wasting about 40% of my budget on the “internal error” issue. Extremely frustrating.
Now I am getting different types of errors
- An internal error has occurred.
- retries failed
- Generation stopped
- You exceeded your current quota, please check your plan and billing details.

Do you have any update on this issue ? I am keep getting Internal errors since morning and firebase is extremely slow, not sure if this is related to capacity issues. If yes, do you have any timelines on resolving this issue ?

Yep, the issue still occurring. It would be great to hear back from the team if there are any plans, especially that we actually pay for every failed attempt.
Where do you check the billing? I thought studio API usage is free right now..
In Google Cloud app / web billing. Studio has a free Gemini tier but I think it is a bit disappointing so I am using my own Gemini api and 2.5 pro / flash.
I’ve been getting the same errors. They started last night and it’s still doing it this morning.
At time of writing, there appears to be a service disruption incident with elevated error rates for AI assistance. You can monitor the status dashboard for an update.

I am not counting multiple retries. This simply doesn’t work for me, sorry.
yes, it is free but only for the “gemini-2.5-pro-exp-03-25” and “gemini-2.5-flash-preview-04-17” models
