Roles: What they do How did you get your current position? What level of experience and education are necessary to perform your job? (Unless you know where your interviewee is coming from, it is very difficult to evaluate his/her responses to your questions.) What does your job entail? What are your primary responsibilities? (for what they do) Culture: Have you previously had positions similar to this; how do they differ from your position here? What drew you to work for 47 Brand? (e.g., personal characteristics, education, experience, etc.) Do you work with your coworkers or individually more often? How often/ when do you have to collaborate with each other? Have you taken away anything from previous jobs to incorporate into your managerial strategy here? Has your strategy changed over the years? How/Why? How crucial is communication for your everyday work? Are there any challenges with this, and how do you address them? Issues/conflicts/successes: what were their key factors for success in where they are What are the top 3 challenges that you currently face as a manager of people in this organization? Can you give me some examples? What are the challenges of being a manager? Can you give me some examples from your own management practices over the years? Whats the hardest thing youve had to deal with? Feedback: how do you reward/motivate others or how are you motivated When and how do you give feedback to employees? How do you evaluate your employees performance? How do you set criteria? How are you evaluated? By whom? What criteria are used? When do you receive feedback?
