Forces 2 MS

1. No net force acts on an object when the total forces up are equal to the total forces down. No net torque acts when the sum of clockwise torques equals the sum of anti-clockwise torques. 2. Vectors have direction and scalars do not. The tension in a triangle with sides of 100, 200, and between 165-180 N is the unknown. 3. Force is inversely proportional to mass. An object's motion depends on applied forces - with no force it moves at constant velocity, a retarding force causes deceleration, and a force can change an object's direction of motion.
