THE TERMS OF REFERENCE FROM DESIGN ENGINEERING COMPANY.

Dear Sir,
As discussed, we are submitting the bid for Philippines south commuters’
railway PKG-4 & 5 jointly with you. Brief details of above two works as below;
1.) PKG-4: Civil Engineering and Building Works for 8.5km of elevated railway
viaduct, including two elevated stations at Alabang and Muntinlupa.
2.) PKG- 5: Building and Civil Engineering Works for approximately 12.8 km of
Railway Viaduct Structure including elevated Stations at San Pedro, Pacita,
Binan and Santa Rosa.
Accordingly, we have approached design engineering company for permanent
as well as temporary design of structures for the said bid.
The terms of reference with them we shall suggest a negotiate for after getting
approval from you shall be as such.
 Site investigation and survey.
 Geotechnical investigation
 Design of temporary works of viaduct and stations.
 Tender design review and value engineering proposal.
 Make list proposal confirming AASTHO standards.
 Utility identification and diversion plan.
 Method statements for complete project as requisite for BID
submission.
 Design of Launching Girder and construction scheme.
 Construction scheme of 2 nos. Balance cantilever bridge (CLC).
 Design of casting yard.
 Quality assurance Plan.
 Environment management plan.
 Safety Plan.
 Construction plan for the works in vicinity of Philippines National
Railway line.
 Tree removal plan.
 Identification of subcontractors in Philippines for piling, pier, pier
cap, segment casting & erection.
 Identification of subcontractors in Philippines for station
structural, architectural, MEP & HVAC works.
 Project near by casting yard land.
 Project near by suppliers of major material.
 Details work program as per key dates and completion time.
 And any other specific requirement mentioned in tender
document which is mandatory for bid submission.
