Exam Booking Process Azure Az900 Home Pearsonvue
This Exam Process document helps all Cloud Elevate AZ-900 registered members to understand
Microsoft Azure Online Certifications exam process.
Now, you can take any Microsoft role-based or fundamentals exam (delivered by Pearson VUE)
online in the comfort of your home or office while being monitored by a remote proctor via
webcam and microphone.

Before the Exam
1. Please click on the below link & you will be re-directed to the below page:

2. Select “India” as the country and click on “Schedule with Pearson VUE”
3. Enter your Microsoft account credentials if already available, else create a new account
with your personal email-id like Yahoo/Hotmail/Gmail/etc.,

7. Once you click on Run pre-check, system test page will appear to check microphone,
internet bandwidth and webcam. Initially you need to click on “allow” to provide access
to microphone and webcam. Once test is passed you will get green tick marks on all
three options.

8. After all system related checks are successful, you will get below screen. Once green tick
mark comes please close the “System Check” tab and go to the previous tab.
9. Once done with ‘Run pre-check”, click on “Next”

11. Select Language of exam as “English” and click on the Next button. This will navigate you
to the Exam details page.

12. Please verify the exam name. It should be Exam AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals.
Click on Next button.

13. Pease select the language for Proctor to speak during the exam and click “Next”.

14. This will navigate you to the next page where you need to select the Exam date and a
time slot. Select the “desired date & slot”

15. Review the details & click on “Proceed to Checkout”. You may ignore the payment details
and click on “Proceed to Checkout” button which will bring up a pop-up screen for terms
and conditions.
17. Select “Add Voucher or Promo Code” & enter the voucher code as received from
Accenture Cloud Elevate Team and click on apply button
19. Please check the details and submit the order by clicking on “Submit Order” to finish
booking your exam slot.

Ensure you have administrative rights on your computer to be able to download the software.
If your system does not meet the requirements, please register to take the exam at a testing center. If
your computer is found not to meet requirements on the exam day you are unlikely to receive a refund.

On the day of exam
Please be prepared to show one (1) valid form of unexpired, Government issued personal ID.
▪ You need to have your Valid Passport or Valid Driving License (Unexpired) available with you to
take the certification exam.
▪ The Government issued ID must have your signature and must have your photo.
▪ The name on the registration must match the names on the Government issued ID exactly.
If you do not have both valid Passport and Driving license, you can select Driving License option and
upload valid Aadhar card or PAN Card (name exactly matching with your Microsoft Account) – This is
valid in India. Please find below screenshot for Identification (ID) requirements.
What if my name in Microsoft account is not exactly matching with any of the valid ID
proofs?
If your name in Microsoft account is not exactly matching with any of the valid ID proofs(unexpired),
Please raise a ticket in Microsoft Training Support Forum. Usually this takes 3-5 working days to get a
response. Once you raise a ticket, their support team will give you some instructions so that your name
will be updated in their portal as per valid ID proof that you provide.

Exam Login Process
1) Plan to login to exam site at least 30mins before exam time to complete exam process formalities
(like Identification check, final system check, room set-up pictures, etc.,)
2) Login: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/learning/default.aspx
Provide your login credentials registered with Microsoft already by clicking on “Sign In” button
3) Provide your Microsoft account details. This is usually an email id which you have used during
the account creation (like yahoo/gmail/hotmail/etc.,)
4) You will be able to see a page like below on successful login
5) Click “Your Dashboard” to view your appointments, and then choose “Start a previously
scheduled online proctored exam”
Click on your exam under 'Purchased Online Exams'. Click “Begin” and proceed through the self-check-
in process and wait for a Proctor to enable your exam. In below screen there are no purchased exams,
hence, you may not be able to see ‘Begin” option.
Important: if the “Begin exam” button is not visible; you are either too early or too late for your exam.
Please check your appointment details to make sure you’re trying to start at the proper time.
You will be asked to download OnVUE, the online proctoring software, if you haven’t before. Follow the
prompts in the application to complete the required check-in steps.
▪ Have your acceptable identification available so that the proctor can verify your identity.
▪ Shut down any non‐essential applications such as email, chat, Facebook, and Skype.
▪ You will be placed in a queue and connected with the next available proctor to begin your exam.
▪ The check-in process takes approximately 15 minutes for candidates who have previously
completed a system test.
▪ Being late is not an option. To allow time for the check-in procedure, please be ready when the
check-in window opens 30 minutes before the exam start time.
What can go wrong on the Exam Day?
After successfully uploading your photos, you should be on a page that says, “You are almost done with
the check-in process”. Please be patient: most candidates will have their exam launched by a proctor
within 15 minutes of the exam appointment. If you are experiencing a longer delay, there may be a
problem with your photos. The proctor will attempt to reach you over chat or your cell phone. The
incoming phone number may be unfamiliar to you but please answer so they can help you. If they haven't
contacted you in 30 minutes, the connection may have been lost. If this happens, please fill out the form
on this page and they will reschedule your exam.
Please submit the form on the page so they can analyze your session and reschedule your exam, if
appropriate.

Exam Process FAQs
• Windows Vista, Windows XP and Windows 7 are strictly prohibited for exam
delivery
• All Linux/Unix based Operating Systems are strictly prohibited.
Firewall Do not take your exam in a setting with a corporate firewall (including VPN), or, alert your
Network Administrator to the network configuration requirements. We recommend testing
on a personal computer. Work computers generally have more restrictions that may
prevent successful delivery.

exam session.

Device All tablets are strictly forbidden, unless it has a physical keyboard and also meets the
operating system requirements mentioned earlier.
Power Ensure you are connected to a power source before starting your exam to avoid draining
your battery during the exam
You can take the test at your home or in your office. Wherever you take the test, you should be in a walled
room, with a closed door and without distractions. No one else is permitted in the room with you while
you are taking the test.
How do I know my computer will work with the online proctored software?
Perform a system test to download the OnVUE online proctoring software in advance to ensure that your
system will work with exam software. Please check list of minimum system requirements and shut down
all non-essential applications before launching the software.
You may not receive any assistance from other individuals while taking the exam, and you may not allow
other individuals to see the computer screen that presents the exam questions.
If another person enters the room while you are taking the test, your exam will be terminated.
Most technical issues can be avoided by completing a system test in advance. Common technical issues
are lack of a stable internet connection and running illegal applications during the exam, both of which
the system test can indicate. Either way, staff is on hand to support the issue. Please see the customer

By taking this exam, you acknowledge that the proctor will continuously monitor you by video and audio
while you take your exam, and you acknowledge and consent to audio and video recording of your face,
voice, the physical room where you are seated, and the location during exam delivery. You recognize that
you have no right to privacy at your current location during exam delivery and that you waive any and all
claims asserting a right to privacy. If you do not wish to be recorded (either by video or audio), please
notify the proctor immediately of your intent not to proceed with the exam.
If you do not follow the online proctored policies or are suspected of cheating or tampering with Pearson
VUE’s or its subcontractor’s software, or if a third party is detected in the physical room where you are
seated during the exam, the exam will be immediately terminated. This will be reported to Pearson VUE
and the testing sponsor/program, along with audio and/or video evidence of the infraction. Your exam
may be invalidated, and the testing sponsor/program may take other action, such as decertifying you and
precluding all future participation in the testing program.

Is my workspace okay for taking test?
During the check-in process, you will be asked to take photos of your work area, which will be checked by
a proctor prior to exam launch. Please ensure that your desktop is clean and that you are not within arm’s
reach of books, notepads, sticky notes, papers, pens, pencils, and other writing instruments/objects.
Additional monitors and computers must be unplugged and turned off. Items on the wall with writing on
them, such as whiteboards, will be inspected. If your workspace does not pass a room scan, you are not
permitted to proceed with taking the exam.
During the exam, you may not access the following types of personal items: mobile phones, headphones
or headsets (Wired or Bluetooth), handheld computers or other electronic devices, pagers, watches,
wallets, purses, hats (or other head coverings), bags, coats, books, notes, or any other materials not
specifically approved.
During the exam session, you are not allowed to use exam-specific materials or scratch paper, erasable
whiteboards, or any other physical writing object, such as a pen, marker, or pencil.
Watches must be removed and placed out of sight/reach during the exam.
You may have the option to use the whiteboard feature in the OnVUE software while taking the exam
online.
If your exam is long and includes a scheduled break, wait until you see the specific scheduled break
message during your exam. At that time, you may leave your desk to use the restroom.
If your exam does not include a scheduled break, breaks are not allowed during the exam for any reason.
If you leave your computer during your exam the proctor will end your session and you will be unable to
continue testing.
Water in a clear glass is allowed during testing; however, eating, smoking, and chewing gum are
prohibited.
Post Exam Procedures
