General Maintenance

the order, the planned cost can be viewed
7 Release Maintenance Maintenance order needs to be released before any component IW32
order issue/ service entry sheet or permit (if any) to be issued in the
system for carrying out the job. Once order is release, a workflow
will be triggered to the approval authority for release.
This is done via menu path - Order->Functions->Release
8 Issue Components Once released, store person will issue the reserved material MIGO
against reservation against the order. However unplanned items also may be issued
to the order.
9 Creation of PO (in case PO is to be created for External services with reference to the ME21N
of External service) Requisition number generated in the Maintenance Order. This
PO is to be handed over to the service vendor.
10 Execution of This is the physical activity of carrying out the Maintenance job. ( MANUAL
maintenance activity Outside SAP)
11 Create Service Entry Service entry sheet will be created after successful completion of ML81N
Sheet the planned External services. This will enable payment to be
released for the Vendor.
12 Confirmation of The activities done in the Maintenance is confirmed. In this IW41
Maintenance Order transaction, we punch the maintenance activity hours.
Order->Functions->Complete->Complete Technically
15 Return of un-utilized The unutilized spares will be returned to stores against the MB1A/MBRL
spares to stores maintenance order for which they had been issued.
16 View Costs The Planned vs. actual costs can be viewed via the menu path – IW32/IW33
Extras>Cost > Reports Planned/Actual Comparison after all
issues and service entry sheets are completed.

17 Order settlement Settle the order. Order can be settled individually or collectively. KO88/KO8G
The order settlement ensures that the costs collected in the
order are settled to the individual cost centres as defined in the
Settlement rule.
18 Business Completion of Business completion is not possible before order settlement & if IW32
order the variance in cost is not zero. Once Business completion is
carried out for an order, it cannot be processed further.
This can be carried out via menu path –
Order->Functions->Complete->Complete Business.

entered by measuring documents.
3. The technical object is assigned for which
maintenance plan is required.
4. The respective task list is assigned.
All the scheduling parameters is filled such as call
horizon depending on time factor required for the call
object to be called in advance, scheduling period etc.
4 Change Maintenance As per the schedule Maintenance plan, Order Type IW32
Order PM03 will be created. if any change is required that can
be made.
